Splenektomi ve femoral fraktürün bakteri translokasyonu ve karaciğer rejenerasyonu üzerine olan etkilerini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılan çalışmada, her birinde 10'ar adet Swiss-albino cinsi fare bulunan 5 grup kullanıldı. Gruplarda; bakteri translokasyonu, karaciğer ağırlık artışları, karaciğerde mitotik indeks, ve kupffer hücre aktivasyonları değerlendirildi. Bakteri translokasyonu mezenter lenf nodu ve karaciğerde çalışıldı. Deneyin sonucunda hepatektomi ve femoral fraktürün bakteri translokasyonuna neden olduğu, splenektominin ise bu gruplarda translokasyona olumlu yönde etki ederek bakteri translokasyonunu azalttığı tespit edildi. Femoral fraktürün ise splenektominin olmadığı gruplarda, translokasyonu artırıcı yönde, splenektominin olduğu gruplarda ise, splenektominin olumlu etkisini baskılayıcı yönde etkili olduğu tespit edildi. Karaciğer rejenerasyonu, erken dönemdeki mitotik indeks ve kupffer hücre aktivasyonunu femoral fraktür bozarken, splenektomi rejenerasyonu artırıcı yönde etkili olmaktadır. Bunun mekanizmalarını ortaya koyacak ileri çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır. Sonuç olarak bu deney modelinde; splenektominin bakteri translokasyonu azaltıcı, karaciğer rejenerasyonunu artırıcı yönde etkili olduğu, femoral kırığın bu mekanizmayı baskıladığı fakat tamamen ortadan kaldıramadığı söylenebilir.
Five study groups, each of them consisting of 10 Swiss-albino mice were enrolled to this study in order to investigate the effects of splenectomy and femoral fracture on bacterial translocation and liver regeneration. Bacterial translocation, increasing of liver mass, liver mitotic index and kupffer cell activation were evaluated through groups. Bacterial translocation were studied on mesenteric lymph node and liver tissue. As a result of this study; it was determined that hepatectomy and femoral fracture have resulted in bacterial translocation, whereas splenectomy has decreased bacterial translocation by affecting positively. It was determined that femoral fracture has increasing effect on bacterial translocation in groups without splenectomy, but suppressing impression on affirmative effect of splenectomy. Although femoral fracture impairs liver regeneration, early mitotic index and kupffer cell activation, splenectomy augments regeneration. Furter investigations are needed to verify the mechanism of these occurrences. In conclusion; in this experimental study it can be stated that, splenectomy has diminishing effect on bacterial translocation and augmenting effect on liver regeneration, but femoral fracture has suppressing effect of this mechanism not gully ceasing.
