Patellar Tendon Üzerine Sıcak-Soğuk Uygulamalarının Tork- Zaman Parametrelerine ve Dinamik Fonksiyonlara Etkisi Biz bu çalışmamızda patellar tendon üzerine sıcak-soğuk uygulamalarının tork- zaman parametrelerine ve dinamik fonksiyonlara etkisini araştırdık. Çalışmaya 18-45 yaş aralığında, sağlıklı ve dışlama kriterlerine sahip olmayan 30 birey(16 erkek, 14 kadın) dahil edildi. Katılımcıların demografik özellikleri kaydedildi, vücut ağırlığı ve boy ölçümleri yapıldı, tegner aktivite skorları belirlendi. Isınma sonrası infrared termometre ve termal kamera ile patellar tendon sıcaklıkları ölçüldü ve izokinetik test ile sıçrama testleri uygulandı. Sonrasında; patellar tendon üzerine 30 dakika sıcak veya soğuk uygulama yapıldı. Isınma periyodu sonrası sıcaklık ölçümleri ve testler tekrarlandı. Sıcak ve soğuk uygulama arasında 48 saat boşluk bırakıldı. Tüm testler katılımcının dominant alt ekstremitesinde yapıldı. Soğuk uygulama öncesi-sonrası ve sıcak uygulama öncesi-sonrası sıcaklık değerlendirmelerinde hem infrared termometre ölçümlerinde (p<0,05) hem de termal kamera ölçümlerinde (p<0,05) istatistiksel anlamlı sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Vertikal sıçrama mesafesinin değerlendirildiği squat jump ve counter-movement jump testlerinde her iki uygulama öncesi ve sonrasında anlamlı fark tespit edilememiştir (p>0,05). Pik torka ulaşma zamanı ve pik tork geliştirme hızı soğuk uygulama öncesi-sonrası ölçümlerde değişmezken; sıcak uygulama sonrası pik torka ulaşma zamanında kısalma (p<0,05) ve pik tork geliştirme hızında artma (p<0,05) saptanmıştır. Veriler ışığında patellar tendon sıcaklığı restore edilerek özellikle patlayıcı kuvvet gerektiren atletik performanslarda iyileşme sağlanabileceği öngörülebilir. The effect of hot-cold applications on patellar tendon to torque-time parameters and dynamic functions In this study, the effects of hot-cold applications on patellar tendon to torque-time parameters and dynamic functions were investigated. 30 healthy individuals (16 males, 14 females) at the age of 18-45 years were participated to the study. Participants' demographic characteristics were recorded, body weight and height measurements were performed, and tegner activity scores were noted. After warm up, patellar tendon temperatures were measured with infrared thermometer and thermal camera. After temperature measurements, isokinetic tests and jump tests were performed. Then; hot or cold applications were performed on patellar tendon for 30 minutes. Temperature measurements and tests were repeated after hot or cold applications. There was a 48 hours interval between hot and cold applications. All tests were performed on dominant lower extremity of the participants. Statistically significant results were obtained both at infrared thermometer (p <0,05) and also at thermal camera measurements (p <0,05) in the pre-post cooling and heating temperature evaluations. In the squat jump and counter-movement jump tests that the vertical jump distance was evaluated there was no significant difference between before and after the applications (p> 0,05). Time to peak torque and rate of peak torque development were similar in cold pre-post measurements (p >0,05), shortening of time to peak torque (p <0,05) and increase in rate of peak torque development (p <0,05) were determined after hot application. In the light of these datas; patellar tendon temperature restoring may provide improvement especially in athletic performances that require explosive force.
