Çalışmamızda fetal dönem boyunca akciğerin gelişimini, morfolojik yapısını ve lokalizasyonu değerlendirmek için morfometrik bilgiler elde edilmesi amaçlandı. Çalışma, yasları 8-40 gebelik haftası yası arasında değişen, eksternal patolojisi ve anomalisi olmayan, 239 adet fetus (130 erkek, 109 kız) üzerinde gerçekleştirildi. Fetuslar gestasyonel haftalara, aylara ve trimesterlere göre gruplandırıldı. ?lk olarak fetuslardan genel eksternal parametreler ve toraksa ait morfometrik parametreler belirlendi. Bu ölçümlerin ardından toraks diseksiyonu yapılarak akciğer ve akciğerin komsu yapılarla ilişkisi tespit edildi. Daha sonra, fetal akciğer toraks boşluğunda diseke edildi ve akciğere ait ağırlık, hacim ve boyut (yükseklik, genişlik ve derinlik) parametreleri tespit edildi. Alınan parametrelerin gestasyonel haftalara, ay ve trimester gruplara göre ortalamaları ve standart sapmaları belirlendi. Bütün parametrelerde cinsler arasında fark bulunamadı (p>0,05). Alınan bütün parametreler ile gestasyonel yas arasında anlamlı ilişki vardı (p<0,001). Parametrelerin sağ ve sol taraflar arası karşılaştırmasında taraflar arasında anlamlı fark olduğu tespit edildi (akciğer yüksekliği hariç) (p<0.05). Çalışmamız boyunca elde edilen verilerin obstetri, perinatoloji, adli tıp ve fetopatoloji gibi bilim dallarındaki çalışmalara katkıda bulunacağına ve fetal akciğerin anomali, patoloji ve varyasyonların tanı ve tedavisine yardımcı olacağına inanmaktayız. The aim of this study was to determine detailed morphometric data to be able to assess fetal development of the lungs and its morphology and localization in the human fetuses during the fetal period. Two hundred and thirty nine lungs (130 male, 109 female) obtained from human fetuses aged between 8-40 weeks of gestation with no external pathology or anomaly was used in this study. Fetuses were grouped based on gestational weeks, months and trimesters. At first, general external measurements and morphometric measurements from the thorax were obtained. After that the thorax dissection was made and the relationships between lungs and surrounding structures and their localization were determined. Then, the fetal lungs were dissected from the thorax cavity and the morphometric data on weight, volume and also dimensions (height, width, depth) of lungs were determined. Means and standard deviations of the all parameters with respect to gestational week, month and trimester were calculated. No significant differences were observed between sexes for any of the parameters (p>0.05). There were significant relations between measured parameters and gestational age (p<0.001). However, there were significant differences between measurements taken from the right and the left lungs (except for height of the lungs) (p<0.05). The data acquired during this study will contribute to other studies related with obstetrics, perinatology, forensic medicine and fetopathology. We believe our findings will be usefull identifying anomalies, pathologies and variations of the fetal lungs and also treatment of such cases.
