Bu araştırmanın amacı, Burdur ili orta öğretim kurumlarındaki öğrencilerin (14-17 yaş) spor yaralanma sıklıkları, risk faktörleri ve oluşum şekillerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda literatür taraması yapılarak araştırmanın problemine yönelik spor yaralanmaları ve spor yaralanmalarında tedavi ile ilgili bilgilere yer verildi. Araştırma kapsamında Burdur ili merkezinde 10 ortaöğretim okulunda okuyan 191 kız, 309 erkek olmak üzere 500 sporcu öğrenciye anket uygulaması yapıldı. Araştırmaya katılanların kişisel bilgi değişkenleri verilerinin cinsiyete göre karşılaştırılmasında frekans ve yüzde dağılımları kullanılarak tanımlayıcı istatistikler yapıldı. Elde edilen verilerin karşılaştırılmasında K-Kare testi kullanılmış ve sonuçların anlamlı olup olmadığı alfa 0.05 düzeyinde tespit edildi. Burdur ili ortaöğretim kurumlarında okuyan sporcu öğrencilerin spor yaralanma durumları, yaralanma sıklıları, spor yaralanmasına etki eden faktörler, spor yaralanma şekiller ve bölgeleri gibi değişkenler belirlendi. Sporcu gençlerin çoğunun spor yaralanması geçirdiği(% 58.6) belirlendi. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaralanma sıklıklarına bakıldığında bir defa yaralanma geçirenler (% 30.4) ile iki defa yaralanma geçirenlerin (% 33.1) çoğunlukta olduğu, spor faaliyetini yaparken koruyucu kullanma sıklığının düşük olduğu (% 70) bulundu. Spor yaralanma bölgelerinin daha çok branşa özgü bölgeler olduğu, en çok yaralanma geçirilen bölgenin ayak bileği olduğu (% 22.2), spor yaralanmasından sonra çoğunlukla (% 62.1) 1 hafta ya da bir haftadan daha az spordan uzak kaldıkları, aynı bölgeden yaralanma geçirme oranının kızlarda erkeklerden daha fazla olduğu (% 51) ve spor yaralanması geçirenlerin yaralanmalarının sportif aktivite düzeyine çok fazla etki etmediği (% 44.4) tespit edildi. Sonuç olarak araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin spor faaliyetleri esnasında koruyucu kullanmaları durumunda spor yaralanma oranlarının düşeceği düşünülmektedir. Sporcu öğrenciler müsabaka ya da sezon öncesi düzenli ve sistemli bir antrenman süreci geçirdikleri takdirde spor yaralanmalarına olumlu etki edecek ve yaralanma sonrası toparlanma sürecini de hızlandıracaktır. The aim of this research is to determine the frequency of sport injuries, risk factors and their types of formation among the students aged between 14-17.in the high schools in Burdur. In accordance with the aim of the research, by carrying out literature scanning , the knowledge about the sport injuries and the treatment of these sport injuries are mentioned in the research. The survey has been implemented to 191 girls and 309 boys in total 500 sports students from the high schools in Burdur. Descriptive statistics has been done by using distribution of frequency and percentage in the comparison of the individual information variability of the research attendants according to the gender. In the comparison of the gained data K-Square test has been used and whether the results are meaningful or not has been decided on alfa 0.05 level. The condition of sport injuries of the students, the frequency of the injuries, factors effect the injuries, the types of injuries and the areas of the injuries have been identified in this research in the high schools in Burdur. It is determined that most of the sports teenagers (% 58.6) have had sport injuries. Looking at the frequency of the sport injuries of the students attending the research, it has been discovered that the ones who have had sport injuries once (% 30.4) and the ones who have had sport injuries twice (% 33.1) are a lot and the frequency of using the protectors while doing sports is very low (% 70). It has been discovered that the areas of the sport injuries are the areas related to the sports branch, the most injuries have been seen on the ankle (% 22.2),the sports students are away from the sports for about a week after the injury (% 62.1) ,the percentage of the injury from the same area is higher for the girls when compared with the boys (% 51) and the injuries haven.t effected the level of the sportive activities very much (% 44.4). Consequently, it is believed that if the sports students use protective during the sportive activities, the ratio of the sports injuries will decrease. If the students have a regular and systematic training period before the bout and the season, this would effect the sports injuries positively and will fasten the period of healing after the injury.
