The aims of this study are to define the behavioral problems of 7-12 year old children in Isparta Central Nursery School who need care, determine the factors which affect these problems and the effect of staff education on these problems and according to the results to reach the staff who has the necessary qualities. Thirty children who are under care in nursery school for 6 months and do not have mental retardation are included to this study. Social demographical qualities and behavioral problem points are defined. After 7 months education of the staff the behavioral problem points are measured again. However because of the leaving of some children only 12 students were reached. New 12 mentally healthy students who are in the nursery school for 6 months were included to the study. More than half of the children in the school was male. %73.8 of the children.s parents were alive but divorced. %97.6 of the children have minimum one sister/brother and the main reason of being in nursery school was divorced parents. Male students. behavioral problem point was higher than female students. Behavioral problem points are high in the students who came the nursery school very early and who stay so long (?). The students. who have chronical diseases behavioral problem point were higher. Behavioral problem points of the children in Isparta Central Nursery School bacame lower after the education of the staff. As a result the education of the staff was useful and positive changes in the behaviors of the children were seen. Keywords : behavioral problem point, nursery school, staff education.
