Son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalarda, bireyin kendi kanından otojen olarak hazırlanan TZF’in, içerdiği çeşitli büyüme faktörleri nedeniyle, yara ve kemik iyileşmesini hızlandırma potansiyeline sahip olabileceği belirtilmekte ve günümüzde hem tıp hem de diş hekimliği uygulamalarında TZF kullanımında belirgin bir artış görülmektedir. TZF’in sınırlı sayıda klinik uygulamalarının yanı sıra mevcut çalışmaların daha çok deneysel ve uygun TZF/greft kombinasyonlarını araştırmaya yönelik olduğu görülmektedir. Deneysel çalışmalarda TZF/partikül otojen greft kombinasyonun kullanıldığı, farklı zaman aralıklarını değerlendiren kontrollü bir deneysel araştırmaya literatür bilgilerimiz dahilinde rastlanmamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, tavşanlarda oluşturulan defektlere TZF ve TZF ile partikül otojen greft kombinasyonu uygulamasının farklı zaman aralıklarında kemik iyileşmesi üzerine olan etkisini araştırmaktır.Çalışmamızda 24 adet iskeletsel gelişimini tamamlamış Yeni Zelanda tavşanı kullanıldı. Hayvanlar rastgele 2 gruba ayrıldı. Her hayvanın sağ ve sol tibia kemiğine ikişer adet 3,3 mm’lik defektler oluşturuldu. Defektlere partikül haline getirilmiş otojen kemik grefti, TZF ve otojen kemik grefti kombinasyonu ve sadece TZF uygulandı. Bir defekt ise kontrol grubu olarak boş bırakıldı. 1. gruptaki tüm deney hayvanları 30 gün, 2. gruptaki tüm deney hayvanları ise 60 gün sonra sakrifiye edildi. Hayvanlardan elde edilen örnekler histomorfometrik olarak incelendi. Verilerin istatistiksel analizleri yapıldı.Histomorfometrik analizler sonucunda, TZF’in hem yalnız başına kullanıldığında hem de otojen greft ile birlikte uygulandığında defektlerde kemik iyileşmesini hızlandırdığı gözlendi.Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, TZF’in erken dönem yeni kemik oluşumu miktarını arttırarak kemik iyileşmesine olumlu etki ettiğini göstermiştir. In recent studies, it is pointed out that “Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF)”, which is derived autogenously from the own blood of the individuals might have the potential to increase regeneration and accelerate the healing of the wound, due to the various growing factors it consists. And a significant increase recorded in the number of researches on clinical evaluation of PRF both in medicine and dentistry is noteworthy. In addition to limited number of clinical studies, it is observed that current studies are mostly experimental and focused on the researches of appropriate PRF/graft combination. In experimental studies, we haven’t find any controlled experimental study in literature about PRF and particulate autugenous graft combination in different time intervals. Therefore, the aim of our study is to evaluate, the efficiency of PRF and PRF/autogeonus graft combination on bone healing in different time intervals. In this study, 24 skeletally mature New Zealand rabbits were used. Animals were divided randomly into 2 groups. 3,3 mm two bone defects were created on the right and left tibia for each. Particulate autogenous bone graft only, only PRF and combination of PRF/autogenous bone graft was performed to defects. One defect was left empty as a control group. The animals in the first experimental group were sacrificed after 30 days. The animals in the second experimental group were sacrificed after 60 days. Histomorphometrical and statistical analysis was performed.Histomorphometrical analyzes showed that either PRF used alone or used in conjunction with autogenous bone graft, PRF accelerate the healing of bone defects.The results of this study verified that PRF increase new bone formation and has a positive effect on early bone healing.
