Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi fakültelerinde okuyan 1.sınıf öğrencilerinin riskli sağlık davranışlarının belirlenmesi, riskli sağlık davranışlarıyla ilişkili bazı sosyodemografik etmenlerin saptanması ve riskli sağlık davranışlarının azaltılmasına yönelik çözüm önerilerinin geliştirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırmanın evrenini Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Rektörlüğü’nden alınan izinler doğrultusunda Orman Fakültesi, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi ve İktisadi İdari Bilimler Fakültesi birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin tamamı (n=1985) oluşturmaktadır. Veriler gözlem altında anket uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Araştırma kesitsel analitik tipte bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın bağımlı değişkeni Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi fakültelerinde okuyan birinci sınıf örencilerinin riskli sağlık davranışlarıdır. Bağımsız değişkenler kişinin yaşı, cinsiyeti, eğitim aldığı fakülte, doğum yeri, üniversite eğitimi süresince yaşadığı yer, aylık gelir- gideri gibi sosyoekonomik değişkenler ile BKİ, sigara, alkol, uyuşturucu/uyarıcı madde kullanımı gibi risk faktörleridir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 18,0 programı kullanılmış olup sayı, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, minimum ve maksimum değerler, ki-kare, bağımsız gruplarda t testi ve Fisher’s kesin testi kullanılmıştır.Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin % 64,6’sını kızlar oluşturmaktadır.Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 19,2±1,3, BKİ ortalaması 21,4±3,0 idi. Araştırma grubunun annelerinin % 50,2’si ilkokul mezunu ve % 82,9’u ev hanımıydı.Öğrencilerin babaların büyük çoğunluğu (% 36,9) ilkokul mezunu ve % 6,9’u işsizdi.Öğrencilerin aylık gelir ortalaması 399,2±182,2 TL, aylık gider ortalaması 384,2±175,6 TL idi.Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin % 12,3’ü sigara içmekte, % 8,2’si alkol kullanmakta ve % 1,0’ı uyuşturucu/uyarıcı madde kullanmaktadır.Katılımcıların günlük uyku süreleri ortalaması 7,2±1,5 saatti. Sabah uyandığında günlük işlerini yürütebilecek kadar dinç hissetmeyen öğrencilerin oranı % 18,6, nadiren dinç hissetmeyen öğrencilerin oranı ise % 35,9 idi. Öğrencilerin % 3,8’i sakinleşmek ya da uyuyabilmek için doktor önerisi olmadan ilaç kullanmaktaydı.Öğrencilerin % 4,1’i hiç kahvaltı yapmadığını bildirirken, haftada yenen sebze ve meyve sayısının ortalamasının sırasıyla 3,1±2,0 kez ve 3,8±2,8 kez, aylık 122 fastfood ve benzeri hazır gıda tüketim ortalamasının 8,0±7,22 kez olduğunu bildirmekteydi. Öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğunun dengeli ve yeterli beslenme ile ilgili eğitim almadığı (% 88,5) saptandı. Öğrencilerin beden algıları değerlendirildiğinde % 1,6’sı çok zayıf, % 16,6’sı zayıf, % 62,8’i normal, % 17,9’u kilolu ve % 1,0’ı çok kilolu olduğunu düşünmekteydi.Haftada en az 3 gün günde en az 30 dakika süren fiziksel aktivite yapmayan öğrenci oranı % 51,8 idi.Öğrencilerin % 9,6’sının cinsel birleşmeyle sonuçlanan ilişkisi olmakla birlikte, cinsel ilişki esnasında doğum kontrol yöntemi kullanmayan öğrencilerin oranı % 33,3 idi. AIDS ve diğer cinsel yolla bulaşan hastalıklar hakkında bilgi sahibi olmayan öğrencilerin oranı % 42,1 idi.Öğrencilerin % 14,9’unun ehliyeti vardı ve % 25,9’u motorlu araç kullanmaktaydı. Motorlu araç kullanan öğrencilerin % 22,9’u trafik kurallarına bazen uyarken % 1,1’i hiçbir zaman trafik kurallarına uymamaktaydı. Katılımcıların % 13,6’sı motorlu araç kullanırken kask, emniyet kemeri gibi koruyucu araç kullanmamaktaydı.Son 1 yıl içinde günlük işlerini aksatacak kadar üzüntü veya ümitsizlik hisseden öğrenci oranı (% 43,0) fazlaydı. Yaşamı boyunca intihar etmeyi düşünen öğrenci oranı % 13,9, intihar girişiminde bulunan öğrenci oranı % 4,5, psikolog ya da psikiyatr gibi uzmanlardan yardım alan öğrencilerin oranı % 12,9 idi.Üniversite içinde veya çevresinde silah, sopa, bıçak gibi delici kesici alet taşıdığını belirten öğrencilerin oranı % 3,4, kavgaya karışan öğrenci oranı % 2,4 idi.Kavgaya karışan öğrencilerin karıştıkları ortalama kavga sayısı ve standart sapması 2,1±1,8 kez idi.Araştırma grubunun % 2,7’si kalıcı dövme/piercing yaptırdığını belirtmekteydi.Öğrencilerin şans oyunları (sayısal loto, milli piyango, iddia, on numara gibi) oynama oranı % 28,0 idi. Kumar oynama durumu ayrı başlık altında incelendi ve öğrencilerin % 4,1’nin kumar oynadığı saptandı.Riskli sağlık davranışları gösterme oranı erkek öğrencilerde kız öğrencilere göre genel olarak daha yüksekti. Üniversite eğitim programlarında adolesan sağlığına yer verilmelidir. Üniversite içinde riskli sağlık davranışlarına yönelik sürekli eğitim 123 programları düzenlenmeli ve rol model olan kişilerin de katılımı sağlanarak öğrencilerin sağlıklı yaşam davranışları göstermeleri sağlanmalıdır. It was carried out to identify the risky health behaviors, some of the sociodemographic factors associated with risky health behaviors, and to develop possible solutions for reducing health behaviors of the 1st class students attending faculties of Suleyman Demirel University.Population of the study, in accordance with the permissions of the Presidency of Suleyman Demirel University, is composed of the entire first-grade students (n=1985) of Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty of Science. The data were collected by questionnaires under observation. Research is a type of crosssectional analytical study. The dependent variable of the study is the risky health behaviors of first grade students studying at Suleyman Demirel University faculties.Arguments are the risk factors such as BMİ smoking, alcohol, using of drugs, with the person's age, gender, the faculty he has studied, place of birth, place of residence during his university studies, socio-economic variables such as monthly income-outcome. During the evaluation of the datas, SPSS 18,0 programme, number, percentage, average, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values, ki-kare, t test and Fisher's exact test in independent groups, were used.64,6% of the students, participated in this study, is composed of girls. The age average of the students was 19,2±1,3 the average of BMİ was 21,4±3,0 kg/m2.50,2% of the research group mothers were primary school graduates and 82,9% were housewives. The majority of fathers of students (36,9% ) were primary school graduates and 6,9% were unemployed. Students' average monthly income was 399,2±182,2 TL, the average monthly expenditure was 384,2±175,6 TL.12,3% of the students in the study smoke, 8,2% consume alcohol, and 1,0% use drugs and stimulant drugs. Participants' average daily sleep duration was 7,2±1,5 hours. The proportion of the students, who do not feel refreshed to carry out daily tasks when they wake up in the morning, was 18,6% , the proportion of the students.Who do not rarely feel refreshed, was 35,9% . 3,8% of the students, without a doctor's recommendation, were using drugs to calm down or to fall asleep. 4,1% of the students’ reported that they did not make breakfast, and that the average number 125 of fruit and vegetables eaten per week was respectively 3,1±2,0 times and 3,8±2,8 times, the average monthly consumption of fast food and ready-made food was 8,0±7,2 times.It was detected that the majority of students did not have an education about balanced and adequate nutrition. When evaluated the students' perceptions about their body, 1,6% of them thougt they were very thin, 16,6% were thin, 62,8% were normal, 17,9% overweight, 1,0% were very overweight.The rate of the students, that do not have a physical activity at least 3 days per week and at least 30 minutes a day, was 51,8% .9,6% of the students had a relationship resulting with intercourse, and the rate of the students not using birth control during sexual intercourse was 33,3% . The rate of the students who do not have any knowledge about AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases was 42,1% .14,9% of the students had a driving license and 25,9% of them were using a motor vehicle. 22,9% of the students who used a motor vehicle were sometimes obeying the traffic rules, but 1,1% of them never obeyed the traffic rules. While driving a motor vehicle, 13,6% of the participants were not using protective tool such as helmet, safety belt.In the last one year, the rate of the students, who felt sadness or hopelessness which even caused to hinder daily activities, was high (43,0% ). The rate of students intending to commit suicide during his lifetime was 13,9% , the rate of the students who attempted suicide was 4,5% , and the rate of the students who assisted by specialists such as psychologists or psychiatrists was 12,9% .The rate of the students who indicated that they carried stab such as weapon, stick, knife in or around the university was 3,4% , the rate of the students involved in a fight was 2,4% . The average number of the fights and the standard deviation in which these students involved was 2,1±1,8 times.2,7% of the study group stated that they got the permanent tattoo/piercing done.The rate of the students' playing chance games was 28,0% . When the gambling situation was viewed under a separate title, it was detected that 4,1% of the students gambled.In general, risky health behaviors in male students than female students show higher rate. Adolescent health should be included in university training programs.Permanent education programs should be organized in terms of risky health behaviors in universities, and joining of the role-model people and the students' demonstrating lifestyle behaviours should be provided.
