Bu çalışma diyabetli hastaların insülin kullanım bilgi-becerileri ve yanlışlarını, diyabete karşı tutumlarını, diyabet özbakımına yönelik öz-etkililik düzeylerini, bunları etkileyen etmenleri ve bu parametreler arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmek amacıyla tanımlayıcı tipte yapılmıştır.Çalışma Pamukkale Üniversitesi Sağlık, Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi İç Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı yataklı birimlerinde ve Endokrinoloji Anabilim Dalı Polikliniğinde yatarak veya ayaktan tedavi gören 110 diyabetli hasta ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Çalışmada veri toplamak amacıyla Diyabetli Hasta Bilgi Formu, Diyabete Karşı Tutum Ölçeği (DTÖ), Diyabet Özbakımında Güven Ölçeği (DÖGÖ) ve İnsülin Kalemi İle İnsülin Uygulaması Gözlem Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS (17,0) programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde sayıyüzde, ortalama, t testi, varyans, korelasyon analizi ve ki-kare testi kullanılmıştır.Hastaların %68,2’si günde 4 kez insülin kullanmakta, %68,2’si kullandığı insülinin adını bilmemekte, %56,4’ü insülin bölgeleri arasında rotasyon yapmamakta %89,1’i yanında diyabet kartı taşımamaktadır. Hastaların %24,5’i diyetine uyduğunu, %23,6’sı egzersizi düzenli yaptığını belirtmiştir. İnsülin kullananların %10’u oruç tutmaktadır. Hastaların %32,7’si insülin bölgesinde sertlik/şişlik, %54,5’i morluk, %79,1’i hipoglisemi, %66,4’ü hiperglisemi yaşadığını söylemiştir.Hastaların %59,1’i insülin yapmayı unutmakta, %31,8’i insülini bilerek atlamaktadır.Hastaların %53,3’ü insülin eğitimini 1 kez ve bunların %76,5’i diyabet hemşiresinden almıştır. Evde kan şekeri takibi yapanların diyabet özbakımına yönelik öz-etkilik düzeyleri yapmayanlara göre yüksek bulunmuştur (p=0,000).Diyetine uyum gösterenlerin diyabete karşı pozitif tutumları (p=0,000) ve diyabet özbakımına yönelik öz-etkilik düzeyleri yüksek bulunmuştur (p=0,001). İnsülin yapmayı unutanların pozitif tutumları (p=0,001) ve diyabet özbakımına yönelik özetkilik düzeyleri daha düşük bulunmuştur (p=0,048).Kapsamlı ve düzenli bir diyabet ve insülin eğitimi ile hastaların diyabete karşı tutumu ve diyabet özbakımına yönelik özetkililikleri arttırılabilinir. This study, has been conducted in a supplementary fashion for the purpose of determining the insulin administration skills of the diabetes patients and their mistakes, their attitudes against insulin, their levels of self efficiency towards selfcare, the factors that influence them as well as the relationship between those parameters.This study has been conducted with 110 diabetes patients with inpatient or outpatient treatment in the units of Pamukkale University, Hospital of Research and Application, Department of Internal Diseases as well as in the Endocrinology outpatient clinic.In this study, as the data gathering instrument; The diabetes patience information form, the scale of attitudes against diabetes which is a sub scale of diabetes care profile, diabetes self care trust scale and observation form for the administration of insulin via Insulin pen. For the evaluation of the data, SPSS (17,0) software has been used. For the analyses of the data, numeric, percentage median, t-test, variance analyses, correlation analyses and chi square tests have been used.%68,2 of the patients administer insulin 4 times in a day. %68,2 of the patience do not know the name of the insulin that they use, %56,4 of them do not make rotations between the administration zones and %89,1 of the patients do not carry a diabetes card along with them. %24,5 of the patients indicated that they follow their diet and %23,6 stated that they exercise regularly. %10 of the patients who use insulin exercise fast. 32,7 of the patients tell that they experience hardness, nodule, %54 of them experience lividity, %79,1 experience hypoglycemic , %66,4 experience hyperglycemic in the zone of the insulin administration. %59 of the patience forget to administer insulin, %31,8 skip the insulin consciously. %53,3 of the patients had an insulin training once and %76,5 of them had such training from a diabetes nurse. The level of self efficiency of the patients towards diabetes self care, who track the blood sugar at home is found to be higher (p=0,000). The positive attitudes of patience who adapt to their diet towards diabetes (p=0,000) and their level of self efficiency towards diabetes self care have been found to be high (p=0,001). The positive attitudes of persons who forget to administer insulin (p=0,001) and their level of self efficiency towards diabetes self care have found to be lower. (p=0,048) By a comprehensive and regular diabetes and insulin training, the attitudes of the patience against diabetes as well as their self efficiency towards diabetes self care can be increased.
