Bu çalışma kronik atriyal fibrilasyonda yaşam kalitesi ve etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada Isparta merkez sınırları içerisinde yer alan Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi ve Isparta Devlet Hastanesinde Nisan-Eylül 2013 tarihleri arasında kronik atriyal fibrilasyon tanısı ile takipli 160 hasta örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından hasta tanılama formu ve SF-36 yaşam kalitesi ölçeği uygulanarak toplanmıştır.Araştırmanın uygulanması için etik kurul izni dâhil gerekli izinlerin tümü alınmıştır.Hastaların sosyodemografik ve hastalık özellikleri bağımsız değişken, yaşam kalitesi ölçeği puanları bağımlı değişken olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler Kolmogorov-Smirnov uyum iyiliği testi, t-testi, Mann-Whitney U testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (One-way ANOVA), Kruskal Wallis testi ve Pearson Korelasyon analizi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamına alınan hastaların yaş ortalaması 67.56±11.83'tür. Hastaların % 60.6'sının erkek, % 44.3'ünün fazla kilolu, % 51.3'ünün okuryazar, % 58.7'sinin ev hanımı olduğu, % 53.7'sinin yalnız eşiyle yaşadığı, % 38.8'nin ilçede yaşadığı ve % 88.8'inin daha önceden AF hakkında bilgi aldığı, % 76.2'sinin başka bir kronik hastalığı olduğu ve % 47.5'inde ciddi semptomlar bulunduğu belirlenmiştir. Genel olarak; erkek hastaların, üniversite mezunlarının, işçi veya memurların, eşi ve çocukları ile beraber yaşayanların, şehirde yaşayanların, hastalıkları ile ilgili bilgi alanların, diyet yapanların, başka bir kronik hastalığı ve semptomu olmayanların yaşam kalitesi ölçeğinden yüksek puanlar (p<0.05) aldığı; medeni durum ve beden kitle indeksinin ise istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur.Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda; kronik atriyal fibrilasyon hastalarının yaşam kalitesini yükseltmeye yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur. This study is performed to determine the quality of life and the affecting factors in chronic atrial fibrillation. In the study; 160 patients who are followed up with the diagnosis of chronic atrial fibrillation between April and September 2013 at Süleyman Demirel University Research and Application Hospital and Isparta Public Hospital within the boundaries of Isparta are selected as the sample group. Data is collected by the researcher by applying a socio-demographic data form and SF-36 Quality of Life Scale. In order to perform the investigation, all the required permissions including the research ethics committee approval are taken. Sociodemographical and disease features of the patients are assessed as independent variables and the quality of life scale grades are assessed as dependent variables.Data obtained is assessed by using Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness of fit test, t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA), Kruskal Wallis test and Pearson Correlation analysis. The average of age of the patients within the scope of the research is 67.56±11.83 years. It is specified that 60.6% of the patients is male, 44.3% of them is overweighed, 51.3% is literate, 58.7% is housewife, 53.7% is only living with his/her spouse, 38.8% is living in a district and 88.8% has taken information about AF before, 76.2% has another chronic disease and 47.5% has severe symptoms. Generally it is specified that the patients who are male, university graduates, workers or officers, patients living together with their spouse and children, living in a city, getting information about their disease, applying a diet and do not have any additional chronic diseases get high scores (p<0,05) from the quality of life scale and marital status and body mass index don‟t show any statistically significant difference.According to the results obtained from the research; suggestions regarding to increase the quality of life of the patients with chronic atrial fibrillation are made.
