Bu çalışmada florozisli ve sağlıklı dişler arasındaki element konsantrayonu (F, Ca, Na, P, Mg ve Zn), kök dentin mikrosertliği, kökün dentin tübül yoğunluğu ve alanı karşılaştırılmıştır. Thylstrup-Fejerskov indeksine göre orta şiddette (TFI 4-5) 30 florozisli ve 30 sağlıklı tek köklü diş toplanmıştır. Bu iki grup daha sonra iki alt gruba ayrılmıştır. Alt-grup 1a; mezial kök parçalarında elementlerin konsantrasyonları SEM-EDX ve SEM-WDX ile ölçülmüştür. Alt-grup 1b, distal kök parçalarında Vickers test yöntemi ile mikrosertliği ölçülmüştür. Alt-grup 2; köklerin orta üçlüsünün dentin tübülleri SEM'de X8000’lik büyütmede incelendi. Tübül yüzey alanları ve yoğunluğu fotomikrografta AutoCAD 2007 kullanılarak ölçüldü. İstatistik analiz t-test, Pearson korelasyon testi ve regresyon analiz testi ile SAS sisteminde yapılmıştır. Elementlerin konsantrasyonu ve mikrosertlik değeri florozisli grupta fazla çıkmıştır (P<0.001; t-test). Florozisli grupta, Ca ve P (r=0.82), Vickers sertlik değeri (VHN) ve F (r=0.62), Mg ve Zn (r=0.64) arasında pozitif ilişki bulunmuştur. Sağlıklı dişlerde, Ca ve P (r=0.63), VHN ve F (r=0.81) arasında pozitif ilişki bulunmuştur. Regresyon analizi F’a bağlı olarak mikroseretlik için en yüksek (%92) ve Ca, P, Mg, Na ve Zn için sırasıyla %82, %80, %56, %75 ve %65 oranında tahmin etme kapasitesini göstermiştir. Florozisli grupta, milimetre karedeki tübül yoğunluğu daha az (P<0.001) ve tübül alanı sağlıklı gruptan daha geniş olarak bulunmuştur (P<0.001). Bu çalışmanın sınırları içinde, F'un daimi diş yüzey kök dentininin bazı yapısal ve fiziksel özelliklerini etkilediği bulunmuştur.
This study was compared to concentrations of elements (Ca, Na, P, Mg, Zn and F), root dentine microhardness, and root dentin tubule density and area in teeth with fluorosis and healthy. 30 single-rooted teeth with moderate fluorosis (TFI 4-5) according to the Thylstrup-Fejerskov Index and 30 healthy teeth were collected. Sub-group 1a; the concentrations of the elements in the mesial root parts were measured by SEM-WDX and SEM-EDX. Sub-group 1b; the microhardness of the distal parts was measured by the Vickers Microhardness Method. Sub-group 2; the middle third of root dentin tubules was investigated with the scanning electron microscope in X8000 magnification. The density and surface area of the tubules were measured by AutoCAD 2007 in fotomicrograph. Statistically analyse was performed with t-test, Pearson Correlation test and Regression test in SAS system. The value of all elements concentrations and microhardness were significantly higher in teeth with fluorosis (P<0.001; t-test). In the fluorosis group, positive correlations were found between Ca and P (r=0.82), Vickers Hardness Number (VHN) and F (r=0.62), and Mg and Zn (r=0.64). In the healthy group, positive correlations were found between VHN and F (r=0.81) and Ca and P (r=0.63). Regression analysis showed that predictive capacity was highest for microhardness (92%=r2 value) and was 82%, 80%, 56%, 75%, and 65% for Ca, P, Mg, Na, and Zn, respectively. In flourosis group, the tubule density to square milimeter was lower (P<0.001) and tubule’s area was bigger (P<0.001) than healthy group. In the limitation of this study, F was found to affect certain structural and physical properties of the permanent tooth root dentin surface.
