Kronik Bel Ağrılı Hastalarda Obezitenin Fiziksel Performans Üzerine Etkisinin Değerlendirilmesi Bu çalışma 3 aydan fazla bel ağrısına sahip hastalarda obezitenin fiziksel performans üzerine etkisinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya 18-65 yaş arası 102 olgu katılmıştır. Gruplar vücut kütle indeksine (VKİ) göre üç gruba ayrılmıştır (grup 1 normal kilolu, grup 2 fazla kilolu, grup 3 obez). Çalışmada ağrı görsel analog skalası (GAS) ile, yaşam kalitesi Kısa Form-36 (KF-36) ile, denge ve fonksiyonel mobilite Süreli Kalk Yürü Testi ile, fiziksel fonksiyon Fiziksel Performans Test Bataryası (FPTB) ve Oswestry Özürlülük Ölçeği (OÖÖ) ile değerlendirilmiştir. Gruplar arasında FPTB parametrelerinden lumbal fleksiyon hareket açıklığı, 50 adım yürüme, 5 tekrarlı sandalyeye otur kalk ve 10 tekrarlı gövde fleksiyonu parametrelerinde anlamlı fark tespit edilmemiştir. 5 dk yürüme ve ağırlıkla öne uzanma parametrelerinde grup 3 ile grup 1 arasında istatistiksel fark tespit edilmiştir. OÖÖ verilerinde gruplar arasında fark tespit edilmemiştir. KF-36'nın 8 alt parametresinde gruplar arasında fark tespit edilmemiştir ancak VKİ ile fiziksel fonksiyon arasında negatif yönde kolerasyon bulunmuştur. Süreli kalk yürü testinde grup 3 ile grup 1 ve grup 1 ile grup 2 arasında anlamlı fark tespit edilmiştir. Gruplar arasında GAS verilerinde fark bulunmamıştır. Sonuç olarak obezitenin kronik bel ağrılı hastalarda fiziksel performansı, denge ve fonksiyonel mobiliteyi ve fiziksel fonksiyonu etkilediği, ağrı şiddetini etkilemediği bulunmuştur. Evaluation of the Effect of Obesity on Physical Performance in Patients with Chronic Back Pain This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of obesity on physical performance in patients with low back pain over 3 months. 102 cases between 18-65 years of age were included in the study. The groups were divided into three groups according to body mass index (BMI) (group 1 normal weight, group 2 owerweight, group 3 obese). In the study, level of pain by using visual analog scale (VAS), quality of life by using short form-36 (SF-36), balance and functional mobility by using timed up go test, physical function by using physical performance test battery (PPTB) and Oswestry disability questionnaire (ODQ) were assessed. Among the groups, no significant difference was found in the lumbar flexion range of motion, 50 steps of walking, 5 repeated of chair sit-stand and 10 repeated of trunk flexion from PPTB parameters. A statistical difference was found between group 3 and group 1 in the parameters of 5 minute walking and loaded forward reach. There was no difference between the groups in ODQ data. In the 8 subparameters of SF-36 no difference was found between the groups, but there was a negative correlation between BMI and physical function. There was a significant difference between group 3 and group 1 and between group 1 and group 2 in timed up go test. There was no difference in VAS data between the groups. In conclusion, it was found that obesity affected physical performance, balance and functional mobility and physical function, does not affected pain severity in patients with chronic low back pain.
