Bu çalışmanın amacı hentbolculara uygulanan yoğun pliometrik antrenmanların bazı fiziksel ve biyomotorik özellikler üzerine etkilerini araştırılmasıdır. Araştırmaya Kayseri ilinde Cimnastik Okulunda eğitim gören 17 kız cimnastikçi katıldı. Cimnastikçilerin yaş ortalaması 8,5±1,5 (yıl), Spor yaşlarının ortalama 1,5±0,7 (yıl), vücut ağırlığı ortalaması 26,9±8,3 (kg), boy ortalamasının ise 123,1±7,4 (cm) olduğu görülmektedir. Cimnastikçilerin tamamı antrenman gurbunu oluşturmuş çalışma grubunun niteliklerini taşıyan diğer bir grup olmamasından dolayı kontrol grubu oluşturulamadı. Araştırmaya katılan sporcu grubuna 7 yaşın altında ve 11 yaşın üzerinde sporcu dahil edilmemiştir. Araştırmaya katılan sporcuların tamamı kız olup, erkek sporcu dahil edilmemiştir. Araştırmaya katılan sporcuların spor yaşları maksimum 3 olarak alınmış, spor yaşları 3'den fazla olan, herhangi bir yarışma başarısı olan, milli takımlara veya T.O.M'lara seçilmiş olan sporcular dahil edilmemiştir. Araştırmaya katılan sporcuların geçmişte spor sakatlığı yaşamamış olanlardan seçilip, herhangi bir sakatlık yaşayan sporcular yarışmaya dahil edilmemiştir. Haftanın üç günü cimnastik antrenmanına katılan sporculara 8 hafta boyunca yine haftada iki gün antrenman öncesi pliometrik antrenman uygulandı Sporculara boy, vücut ağırlığı, 1RM maksimum tekrar, esneklik, 10m sürat, dikey sıçrama, durarak uzun atlama, şınav ve mekik testi uygulandı ve sonuçlar ön test ve son test ölçümleri ile karşılaştırıldı. Elde edilen verilerin istatistiki analizlerinin yapılmasında SPSS 15 paket programı kullanıldı. Elde edilen verileri grup içi ve gruplar arası ön-test son-test değerlerini karşılaştırmak için Bağımlı (Paired Sample) t testi kullanılmıştır. Sporculara uygulanan testlerin ön test ve son test ölçüm sonuçlarına gore vücut ağırlığı, 1RM maksimum tekrar(biceps curl, triceps press, butterfly, deadlift, leg curl, leg extension), esneklik, 10m sürat, dikey sıçrama, şınav ve mekik parametrelerinde anlamlı bir fark bulunurken, boy, 1RM maksimum tekrar(butterfly) ile durarak uzun atlama parametrelerinde anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Elde ettiğimiz bulgulara dayanarak 7-11 yaş cimnastik yapan çocuk grubunda pliometrik antrenmanların faydalı olduğu belirlenmiş olup, bir örnek model olarak spor bilimleri alanına bir bakış açısı getirebileceği söylenebilir. Purpose of this study is to research the effects of intense plyometric exercises, which is applied to handball players, on physical and biometrical characteristics. 17 female gymnasts, who are studying in Gymnasium in Kayseri, participated to the research. As the examination shows that the average age of gymnasts is 8,5±1,5 (year), average years passed from the time they started to sport is 1,5±0,7 (year), their average body weight is 26,9±8,3 (kg) and their average stature is 123,1±7,4 (cm). Since there is no other gymnast group bearing the characteristics of this this group, a control group couldn't be created. No athlete whose age is under 7 and above 11 is included to the group that participated to the research. All the athletes participated to the research are females and no male athlete is included. It is decided that athletes' sport ages (year number from which an athlete started to exercise) who participated to the research would be at most 3, in addition, athletes whose sport age is more than 3, who has an achievement in some competition and who are chosen to national teams and T.O.Ms aren't included. In the athletes participated to research, athletes were chosen who haven't experienced disability due to sport accidents and athletes who have experienced disability due to sport accidents are excluded. Plyometric exercise is applied two days in a week along 8 week before exercises to athletes that participated three times in a week to gymnastics exercise. Stature, body weight, 1RM maximum repeat, flexibility, 10m speed, vertical jump, long jump while standing, push up and shuttle tests are applied to athletes and results compared to pretest and last test results. For the statistical analysis of results, SPSS 15 packaged software were used. In order to compare the acquired datas on their in-group, intergroup, pre-test and last test values, Paired Sample test is used. According to pre-test and last test evaluation results of tests that are applied to athletes, while it was found that there are significant differences among body weight, 1RM maximum repeat (biceps curl, triceps press, butterfly, deadlift, leg curl, leg extension), flexibility, 10m speed, vertical jumping, push-up and shuttle parameters, it couldn't be found any significant differences among stature, 1RM maximum repeat (butterfly) and long jumping while standing. With respect to the findings that we got, it can be said that plyometric exercises are beneficial for 7-11 aged gymnast child group and that can bring perspective as an example model to sports sciences department.
