Amaç: Araştırma, kalp yetmezliği hastalarında yorgunluk, yaşam kalitesi ve uyku kalitesi üzerine hemşire tarafından verilen eğitimin etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Materyal-Metot: Araştırmanın örneklemini Isparta Devlet Hastanesi kardiyoloji polikliniklerine başvuran hastalardan olasılıksız-rastgele örneklem tekniği ile 40 hasta oluşturmuştur. Veriler hasta bilgi formu, Piper Yorgunluk Ölçeği, SF-36 Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği ve Pittsburg Uyku Kalitesi İndeksi kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Hastalara ölçekler yüz yüze görüşülerek uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonunda elde edilen veriler, tanımlayıcı ve karşılaştırma istatistikleri kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Tanımlayıcı özelliklerde yüzdelik, ortalama, standart sapma kullanılırken, karşılaştırma istatistiklerinde parametrik ve non-parametrik testler kullanılmıştır. İstatistik değerlendirmelerde p<0,05 değeri anlamlı olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hastaların %62,5'i erkek, %77,5'i evli, %65'i ilköğretim mezunu, %50'si emekli ve %95'inin sağlık güvencesi vardır. Hastaların %80'i kalp yetmezliğinden dolayı hastaneye yatmıştır. Eğitim öncesi ve eğitim sonrası Piper yorgunluk ölçeğinin tüm alt boyut puan ortalamaları istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Yorgunluk ölçeğinin fiziksel ve duyusal alt boyutu ile yaş arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlılık saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Eğitim öncesi ve eğitim sonrası SF-36 Yaşam kalitesi ölçeğinin genel sağlık alt boyutu dışındaki diğer alt boyutlarında istatistiksel olarak farklılık saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Yaşam kalitesi ölçeği alt boyutlarından ağrı ve genel sağlık alt boyutları ile cinsiyet arasında istatistiksel olarak farklılık saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Yaşam kalitesi ölçeği alt boyutu olan genel sağlık ile meslek arasında istatistiksel olarak farklılık saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Eğitim öncesi ve eğitim sonrası Pittsburg uyku kalitesi ölçeği alt boyutlarından gündüz fonksiyonu, subjektif uyku kalitesi ve total uyku kalitesi dışında diğer alt boyutlarda istatistiksel olarak farklılık saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Sonuç: Araştırmaya katılan hastalara uygulanan rehâbilitasyon programının yorgunluk, yaşam kalitesi ve uyku kalitesi üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Aim The reserch was conducted in order to study the effect of the training given by a nurse on fatigue, quality of life and sleep quality among heart failure patients. Materials and Methods: A total of 40 paitients who consulted to the cardiology clinic of Isparta State Hospital were determined as the research sample through improbable sampling. The Data were gathered with patient information form, Piper Fatigue Scale, SF-36 Quality of Life Scale and Pittsburg Quality of Sleep Scale. Scales were applied to the patients through face to face interviews. The data obtained at the end of the research were evaluated through descriptive and comparative statistics. While percentage, mean, standart deviation were used for descriptive qualities, parametric and non-parametric tests were used for comparative statistics. In the statistical evaluations, p<0,05 was accepted as significant. Results: Of the patients who participated in the research, 62.5% were male, 77.5% were married, 65% were a primary school graduate, 50% were retired and 95% had health insurance. 80% of the patients were hospitalized due to heart failure. The Piper Fatigue Scale average scores obtained before and after the training were statistically significant (p<0.05). Statistical significance was determined between the physical and emotional sub dimension of the fatigue scale and the age (p<0.05). Except for general state of health sub-dimension of the SF-36 Quality of Life Scale before and after the training, a statistical discrepancy was determined in the other sub-dimensions A statitistical discrepancy was determined between pain, a sub dimension of quality of life scale, sub dimensions of general state of health and gender (p<0,05). A statistical discrepancy was determined between general state of health, a sub-dimension of quality of life scale and profession (p<0,05). Except daytime function, subjective sleep quality and total sleep quality, which are sub dimensions of the Pittsburg sleep quality scale before and after the training, a statistical discrepancy was determined in the other sub dimenisons. Result It is seen that the rehabilitation program applied to the patients who participated in the research was effective on fatigue, quality of life and sleep quality.
