Bu çalışmada ilk olarak 4-(kloroasetil)bifenil, Friedel-Crafts açillemesine göre alüminyum klorür katalizörlügünde kloroasetil klorür ve bifenilden hazırlanmıştır. Kuru HCl gazı varlığında 4-(kloroasetil)bifenil ile isopentil nitritin reaksiyonuyla 1-(4-fenilfenil)-2-kloro-2-hidroksiimino-1-etanon (kloroketoksim) elde edilmiştir. 1-(4-Fenilfenil)-2-kloro-2-hidroksiimino-1-etanon'un sırasıyla p-kloroanilin, p-toluidin, 4-aminoasetofenon ve pirolidin ile ayrı ayrı reaksiyonu sonucu 1-(4-fenilfenil)-2-(alkilamino)-2-hidroksiimino-1-etanon türevleri sentezlenmiş ve bu bileşikler etil alkolde kristallendirilmiştir. 1-(4-Fenilfenil)-2-(alkilamino)-2-hidroksiimino-1-etanon türevlerinin dietilentriamin ve 1,3-diaminopropan ile reaksiyonundan dioksim ve diimin gruplarını içeren sekiz yeni ligand sentezlenmiştir. Sonuçta, Cu(II), Mn(II) ve Co(II) metal tuzlarının aseton veya metanolde çözülmüş dörtdişli Schiff bazlarına ilavesi sonucu mono-, di-, trinükleer Cu(II), heterodinükleer Cu(II)-Mn(II) ve Cu(II)-Co(II) Schiff bazı kompleksleri elde edilmiştir. Sentezlenen tüm ligand ve komplekslerin yapıları elementel analiz, manyetik susseptibilite, molar iletkenlik, 1H- ve 13C-NMR, FT-IR, ICP-OES, ve TG-DTG çalışmalarıyla aydınlatılmıştır. In this study, firstly, 4-(chloroacetyl)biphenyl was prepared from chloroacetyl chloride and biphenyl in the presence of aluminium chloride according to Friedel- Crafts acylation. 1-(4-Phenylphenyl)-2-chloro-2-hydroxyimino-1-ethanone (chloroketo oxime) was obtained by reacting 4-(chloroacetyl)biphenyl with isopentyl nitrite in the presence of dry HCl gase. 1-(4-Phenylphenyl)-2-(alkylamino)-2-hydroxyimino-1-ethanone derivatives were prepared from 1-(4-phenylphenyl)-2-chloro-2-hydroxyimino-1-ethanone reacting with p-chloroaniline, p-toluidine, 4-aminoacetophenone and pyrrolidine respectively and recrystallized from ethyl alcohol. Eight new ligands incorporating a dioxime and diimine moiety were synthesized by reacting 1-(4-phenylphenyl)-2-(alkylamino)-2-hydroxyimino-1-ethanone derivatives with diethylenetriamine and 1,3-diaminopropane respectively. Finally, mono-, di-, trinuclear Cu(II), heterodinuclear Cu(II)-Mn(II) and Cu(II)-Co(II) complexes with tetradentate Schiff bases were precipitated by the addition of metal salts of Cu(II), Mn(II) and Co(II) to the solution of Schiff base dissolved in acetone or methanol. All ligands and complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity, 1H- and 13C-NMR, FT-IR, ICP-OES and TG-DTG studies.
