Bu çalışmada, Kuzeydoğu Akdeniz kıyıları (Gazipaşa-İskenderun) makrobentik deniz florasının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, sekiz istasyonda mevsimsel örneklemelerle yürütülmüş olup, istasyonların beşinde 12, ikisinde 25 ve birinde 40 m derinlikler temel alınarak derinliğin makrobentik flora dağılımına olan etkileri de araştırılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda Rhodophyta'dan 20, Phaeophyta'dan 13, Chlorophyta'dan 8 ve Spermatophyta dan 1 olmak üzere toplam 42 türün bölgede dağılım gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Makroalg gruplarından Chlorophyta'ya ait örnekler iki istasyonlar dışında tüm istasyonlarda bulunmuş; üç istasyonda tek türle temsil edilmiştir. Rhodophyta ve Phaeophyta'ya ait türler tüm istasyonlarda saptanmıştır. Spermatophyta'ya ait tek türle temsil edilen Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile'nın ise toplam 6 istasyonda dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Örnekleme istasyonlarından ikisi, 18; diğer ikisi 11 makrobentik flora türü ile temsil edilirken, öbürlerinin sırasıyla 7, 8, 15 ve 23 tür içerdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Makrobentik flora gruplarının kalitatif değerlendirilmesi sonucunda Spermatophyta'ya ait P. oceanica'nın iki istasyon dışında yaygın tür olduğu; Rhodophyta ve Phaeophyta'ya ait türlerin ise bazı istasyonlarda diğer gruplara oranla daha geniş alanlarda dağılım gösterdikleri belirlenmiştir. Makrobentik deniz florası içerinde Akdeniz'in endemik türü olup, ülkemizde deniz çayırları olarak bilinen P. oceanica populasyonlarının bazı lesepsiyen türler ve kirlilik gibi nedenlerle giderek bozulduğu tespit edilmiştir. The aim of the present study was to determine the macrobentic marine flora of Northeast Mediterranean (Gazipaşa - İskenderun) shores. Seasonal samples of the shore macroalgae were taken from the eight stations selected along the coast. Algal samples were collected a depth of 12 m from five; 25 m from two and 40 m from one of the stations. The effect of algal distributies was studied in four of the stations. A total of 40 species were determined, 20 species belonging to Rhodophyta, 13 species belonging to Phaeophyta, 8 species belonging to Chlorophyta, and 1 species beonging to Spermatophyta. Maximum species diversity was found in seventh stations. Chlorophyta which is one group of macroalgea was found in all stations except two stations. It is represent by single species in three stations. The samples whose belong to Rhodophyta and Phaeophyta were found in all stations. P. oceanica (L.) Delile which is represented by only one species was distribution in each six stations. Two of sampling stations were represented by 18 species; other two stations were represent by 11 species and others were found 7,8,15 and 23, respectively. In the result of the quantitative assessment of macrobentic flora, P. Oceanica (Spermatophyta) was found a widespread species except two stations. The speices which belong to Rhodophyta and Phaeophyta were distributed in more widespread arae as to other groups in some stations. P. oceanica (L.) Delile populations, which is an endemic species of Turkish Mediterranean coasts, found to be changed under the grazing of lessepsian species and pollution.
