Bu çalışmada bazı omurgalı türlerinde (Keçi= Capra aegagrus hircus, Sığır= Bos primigenius taurus, Bıldırcın= Coturnix coturnix, Serçe= Passer domesticus, Rat= Rattus norvegicus, Tavşan= Oryctolagus cuniculus) gırtlak=larinks, soluk borusu=trake ve bronş=bronkus mukozalarının histolojik yapı ve histokimyasal karakterlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Larinks, trake ve bronkuslarının histolojik olarak önemli farklılıklar gösterdiği belirlendi. Bu farklılıkların özellikle mukozal yüzeyin şeklinde, bezlerin karakterinde ve goblet hücrelerinin dağılımları ile ilişkili olduğu saptandı. Çalışılan türlerin larinks, trake ve bronkus L. epitelyalis' inde glikoproteinlere rastlanmazken, bez ve goblet hücrelerinde asidik mukosubstansların varlığı belirlendi. Tüm türlerin larinks ve trake epitel, bez ve goblet hücrelerinde nötral mukosubstanslara rastlanmadı. Fakat bronkus goblet hücreleri ile sığır ve keçi bronşial bezlerinde nötral mukosubstansların bulunduğu belirlendi. In this study, histological structures and histochemical characterization of mucosa of larynx, trachea and bronchus were purposed to detect in some vertebrate species (Goat= Capra aegagrus hircus, Neat= Bos primigenius taurus, Quail= Coturnix coturnix, Sparrow= Passer domesticus, Rat= Rattus norvegicus, Rabbit= Oryctolagus cuniculus). Histological differences in larynx, trachea and bronchus were determined. It was detected that these differences especially were related to structure of mucosal surface, character of glands and distribution of mucous cells. While epithelium of larynx, trachea and bronchus did not observe glycoproteins in all species, mucous cells and glands contained acidic mucosubtances. It was observed that epithelium, glands and mucous cells of larynx and trachea did not contain neutral mucosubstances in all species. But it was detected that neutral mucosubstances in the mucous cells of bronchus and glands of neat and goat bronchus.
