Bu çalışmada sürekli homojen olmayan sığ küresel kabuğun üniform termal yük etkisi altında burkulma problemi ele alınmaktadır. Önce, kalınlık doğrultusunda sürekli değişen izotrop malzeme özellikleri ve uygun termal genleşme katsayısının analitik modelleri oluşturulmakta ve bu modellerin grafiksel ve sayısal gösterimi yapılmaktadır. Problemin formülasyonunda Kirchhoff-Love'nin birinci mertebeden kabuk teorisi kullanılmakta ve gerilme-deformasyon bağıntılarında Hooke kuralı dikkate alınmaktadır. Donnell-Mushtari-Vlasov (DMV) varsayımları ve Sanders doğrusal olmayan gerilme-yer değiştirme bağıntısı kullanılarak kuvvet ve moment bileşenleri bulunmaktadır. Sonra homojen olmayan malzemelerden oluşan küresel kabuklar için termal genleşme katsayısının değişimi de dikkate alınarak termal yükleme altındaki küresel kabuğun toplam potansiyel enerji fonksiyonu zar, eğilme ve termal gerilme enerjilerinin toplamından elde edilmektedir. Toplam potansiyel enerji fonksiyonunun ikinci varyasyonuna Euler denklemleri uygulanarak üç yer değiştirme fonksiyonuna bağlı olarak stabilite denklemleri elde edilmektedir. Üç yer değiştirme fonksiyonuna bağlı olarak elde edilen stabilite denklemleri basit mesnetli sınır koşuluna göre çözülmektedir. Termal genleşme katsayısı kalınlık doğrultusunda değişken olduğunda sürekli homojen olmayan sığ küresel kabuğun boyutsuz kritik üniform sıcaklık artışı için analitik ifade bulunmaktadır. Özel durumlarda sabit ve değişken termal genleşme katsayıları için homojen izotrop küresel kabuğun boyutsuz kritik üniform sıcaklık artışının ifadeleri elde edilmektedir. Söz konusu ifadeler çevresel ve meridyenel dalga sayılarına göre minimize edilerek boyutsuz kritik üniform sıcaklık artışlarının minimum değerleri bulunmaktadır. Sayısal hesaplar kısmında MAPLE 13 bilgisayar programı kullanılarak, çelik malzeme elastisite modülü ve uygun termal genleşme katsayısının kalınlık koordinatlarına bağlı kuvvet fonksiyonu şeklinde değişiminin ve kürenin geometrik parametreleri değişiminin kritik uniform sıcaklık artışına etkileri sayısal olarak incelenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın geçerliliği için elde edilen sonuçlar literatürde sunulan çözümlerle karşılaştırılarak doğruluğu teyit edilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Küresel kabuk, homojen olmama, termal yükleme.
In this study, the buckling problem of the non-homogenous shallow spherical shell subjected to the uniform thermal load is investigated. Firstly, analytical modeling of the non-homogenous material properties and appropriate thermal expansion coefficient which are varying continuously through the thickness direction are formed, and graphical and numerical illustrations of these models are given. In the formulation of the problem, Kirchhoff-Love's first order shell theory is used and Hooke's law is taken into account for stress-strain relations. By using Donnell-Mushtari-Vlasov's (DMV) assumptions and Sanders's non-linear stress-displacement relation, the expressions for the force and moment resultants are obtained. Then, by taking into account variation of the thermal expansion coefficient for non-homogenous spherical shells, the total potential energy function of the spherical shell under thermal loading is obtained from total of the membrane, bending and thermal stress energies. By applying Euler's equations to the second variation of the total potential energy function, stability equations depending on three displacement functions are obtained. Stability equations which are obtained by depending on three displacement functions are solved for the simply supported boundary condition. When thermal expansion coefficient is variable through the thickness direction, analytical expression for the dimensionless critical uniform temperature rise for the continuously homogeneous shallow spherical shell is found. In special cases, the formulas of dimensionless critical uniform temperature rise of the spherical shell are obtained for the constant and variable thermal expansion coefficients. By minimizing these expressions according to circumferential and meridional wave numbers, the minimum values of the dimensionless critical uniform temperature rise are obtained. In numerical computations, effects of the variations of the elasticity modulus and appropriate thermal expansion coefficient as a power function according to thickness direction and variation of the geometric parameters of the sphere on the critical uniform temperature rises are examined as numerically by using computer program of Maple 13. For the validity of this study, the obtained results are compared with counterparts in the open literature.
