In this study, finish turning operations and mechanical tests of 316L stainless steel workpices manufactured by SLM and traditional methods were experimentally investigated. Within the study, two laser vector scanning directions were used while manufacturing the workpieces produced by SLM in order to examine effect of scanning direction on mechanical properties and machinability of parts. 48 experiments were totally carried out with 4 different cutting speeds and feed rates for each workpiece at constant debt of cut. During the experiment cutting force and surface roughness were recorded. ANOVA analysis was employed for obtained test results together with cutting parameters. Result of ANOVA analysis, effect of cutting parameters and changing of material on test results were statistically performed. After that, three order equations that explain relation between cutting parameters and test results were obtained. Result of tests, manufacturing method has significant effect on mechanical properties and machinability of workpieces. Besides, it was determined that laser vector scanning directions affect considerably obtained results in selective laser melted workpices. Keywords: Selective Laser Melting, Finish Turning, Surface Roughness, ANOVA, Regression Analysis.
