Bu çalışma ile farklı büyüklükteki iğnelerden oluşan dip paraketasının balık av verimi üzerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Denemeler, Mart 2011 ve Şubat 2012 tarihleri arasında Antalya’nın Finike ve Demre ilçeleri açıklarındaki alanlarda yürütülmüştür. Çalışma süresince 15 türe ait 184 adet birey yakalanmıştır. İğne büyüklüklerine göre 15 numaralı iğne % 40,2; 14 numaralı iğne % 30,4; 12 numaralı iğne % 20,1 ve 10 numaralı iğne % 9,2 oranında balık yakalamıştır. Toplam av dağılımının %37’si sargoz (Diplodus sargus), % 26,1’ i naylon balığı (Sargocentron rubrum), % 15,2’ simırmır (Lithognathus mormyrus), % 4,3’ü çipura (Sparus aurata), % 3,8’i yazılı hani (Serranus scriba), % 2,7’si lahoz (Epinephelus aeneus), % 2,7’si karagöz (Diplodus vulgaris), % 1,6’ sı, gargur balığı (Pomadasys incisus) % 1,6’ sı sivridişli müren (Enchelycore anatina), % 1,1’ i, melanur (Oblada melanura), % 1,1’ i çizgili taş hanisi (Epinephelus costae) % 1,1’ i istavrit bozması (Caranx crysos), % 0,5’i fangri (Pagrus pagrus), % 0,5’ i sinarit (Dentex dentex) % 0,5’ i orfoz (Epinephelus marginatus) türlerinden oluşmaktadır. In this study, were investigated the effect of catch efficiency on bottom longline with different hook sizes. Experiments were conducted the coast of Demre and Finike in Antalya, between March 2011 and February 2012. During the study 184 fish belonging to 15 species were caught. Catch amount of the hook sizes 15, 14, 12, 10 were obtained 40.2%, 30.4%, 20.1% and 9.2%, respectively. Total catch composition was consisted of 37% white seabream (Diplodus sargus), 26.1% redcoat (Sargocenron rubrum), 15.2% striped seabream (Lithognathus mormyrus), 4.3% seabream (Sparus aurata),% 3.8 painted comber (Serranus scriba), 2.7% white grouper (Epinephelus aeneus), 2.7% two-banded seabream (Diplodus vulgaris), 1.6% bastard grunt (Pomadasys incisus), 1.6% Fangtooth moray (Enchelycore anatina), 1.1% saddled seabream (Oblada melanura), 1.1% Goldblotch grouper (Epinephelus costae), 1.1% blue runner (Caranx crysos), 0.5% red porgy (Pagrus pagrus), 0.5% common dentex (Dentex dentex), 0.5% dusky grouper (Epinephelus marginatus) fish species.
