Observed landslides area were determined and secondly the landslides area photographs and undistributed soil samples were taken in order to study in laboratory. At the end of the study, results showed that excessive rainfall causing saturation of the units and pore pressure increase and effective pressure decrease as a result, as well as dip direction and dip of highway slopes and rock mass discontinuities played a major role in these highway landslides.
