In this study, determinations of natural radioactivity in aggregates used for construction were examined. As varieties of the aggregate of the region of Isparta; barite, olivine, tuff, aggregate, pumice and phonolite (andesite) for the measurement of natural radioactivity was obtained.Materials was ground before be used in to determination of radioactivity and chemical analysis experiments. Of the powderized materials, by gammaspectroscopic method was carried out measurements of natural radioactivity in the Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Ege University. Degrees of natural radioactivity of materials that can be used as aggregate obtained from Isparta region were determined. The degree of radioactivity were compared with the values specified in the standards, the results were compared. As a result, natural radiation levels of barite, olivine and aggregate were determined to be appropriate to use inside buildings because of materials were far below the limit values. On the other hand, the natural radiation levels of andesite, pumice and tuff have been found slightly above the limit value. Therefore, of these materials are not suitable to use inside of buildings, but is thought to be appropriate for use in the outside of buildings. Keywords: Aggregate, Natural Radioactivity Determination, Gamma spectroscopic method, XRD-Analysis.
