Köprüler, insanoğlunun doğaya üstün gelme isteğinin, aşılmazı aşma çabasının önemli ve çarpıcı bir örneğidir. Sözlük anlamı olarak köprü, birbirinden uzak iki nokta arasındaki açıklığı, ya da nehir vadi, bir diğer yol gibi engelleri üzerinden aşıp, insan, diğer canlı, ya da araçların iletişimini sağlayan bir yapıdır. Bir yandan, tasarımcısının dünya görüşü çerçevesinde, var olan teknolojiyi ele alış biçimi ile yapıldığı dönemin teknolojik düzeyini bize aktaran köprüler, çoğu zaman da strüktürel özellikleri ile bulundukları çevrede çarpıcı bir görüntü sergilerler. Sadece açıklıkları aşmakla kalmayıp, fiziksel çevreyi algılamak ve belleklerde tutabilmek için imaj yaratan öğeler olma görevini üstlenirler. Heideger’e göre köprüler, insanoğlu için çevreyi anlamlı bir bütün kılan en önemli yapılardır.Köprülerin bu özelliklerinden yola çıkarak ülkemizin farklı bölgelerinde tarihi köprülerin özellikleri hakkında pek çok çalışma yapılmıştır. Fakat Karayolları 13. Bölge Müdürlüğü olarak tanımlanan; Antalya, Burdur ve Isparta illerinin tamamını Afyon ve Muğla illerinin bir bölümünü kapsayan bölgede, tarihi köprüler üzerine kayda değer bir çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bu nedenle alanda bulunan tarihi köprülerin araştırılması, rölövelerinin alınarak belgelenmesi ve değerlendirilmesi büyük önem taşımaktadır. Köprülerde hasara sebep olan etkilerin belirlenmesi ve uygun onarım-koruma önerilerinin geliştirilmesi bu tezin öncelikli hedefidir. Ayrıca turizm şehri Antalya’daki tarihi değer niteliğindeki bu köprülerin yaşatılması, turizm sektörüne de olumlu katkı sağlayacaktır. Bridges can be considered as a significant and striking example of humankind’s overriding desire on nature and the effort of passing over the impossible. As the lexical meaning bridge is a structure that provides the communication between two asunder points in which a humankind, other livings or vehicles can pass over a river valley. On the other hand, bridges that transmitting the technologic level of its building period by its approach to the existing technology within the frame of its designer, they give a striking view in the area of existence by their structural properties. Not only passing over the distances, they also take on a task of perceiving the physical area and holding it on the memory by its making images. According to Heideger, the bridges are the most important structures that make the environment meaningful to humankind.Considering these properties of the bridges, there are many studies that are actualized about the properties of historical bridges in diverse regions of our country. But there is no significant work about historical bridges in the region defined 13. Region Highways Management that includes whole of Antalya, Burdur, Isparta and some parts of Afyon and Muğla. Therefore, it is important researching, getting relief and certification and reclamation of the historical bridges located in this region. The primary purpose of this thesis is to determine the effects that cause damage to the bridges and developing appropriate maintenance and repair propotions. In addition, it is conceivable that the bridges which have historical feature in the tourism city Antalya to make contribution to sector by keeping them alive.
