Bu tez çalışmasının amacı, taşıyıcı olarak -P=O fonksiyonel grubuna sahip taşıyıcılar kullanılarak polimer içerikli ve destekli sıvı membranların hazırlanması ve hazırlanan membranların ayırmalarda kullanılmasıdır. Bu amaçla çalışmanın ilk aşamasında, -P=O fonksiyonel grubuna sahip taşıyıcılar kullanılarak polimer içerikli ve destekli sıvı membranlar hazırlanmıştır. Hazırlanan membranlar, ayrı ayrı incelenmiştir. Başlangıçta polimer içerikli membranların hazırlanmasında farklı çözücüler, plastikleşticiler ve polimerler denenmiştir. Polimer olarak polivinilidenflorür (PVDF), polisülfon ve selüloz triasetat (CTA); polimer çözücüsü olarak kloroform, 1-metil-2prolidon ve η-η dimetil formamid; plastikleştirici olarak 2-Nitrofenil oktil eter (O-NPOE) ve 2-Nitrofenil pentil eter (2-NPPE) kullanılmıştır.Plastikleştiriciler içinde en iyi sonuç O-NPOE için polimerler için ise CTAkloroform'da elde edilmiştir. Destekli sıvı membranların hazırlanması ve taşıyıcıların çözünmesi işleminde organik çözücü olarak metanol kullanılmıştır. Destekli sıvı membranlar hazırlandıktan sonra deneyler, en iyi optimum koşulları bulmak için optimum taşıyıcı konsantrasyonu tayini ve optimum kararlılığın belirlenmesi gibi parametrelerde yapılmıştır.Polimer içerikli membran deneylerinin ikinci aşamasında, donnan diyaliz deneyleri en iyi optimum koşulları bulmak için, optimum pH tayini, optimum süre tayini ve kullanılan taşıyıcılarla nikel konsantrasyon değişimi gibi çeşitli parametrelerde yapılmıştır. Daha sonraki deneyler bu optimum koşullar doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Destekli sıvı membran deneylerinin ikinci aşaması; kullanılan taşıyıcılarla nikel konsantrasyon değişimini görmek amacıyla yapılan donnan diyaliz deneylerini kapsamaktadır.Polimer içerikli membran deneylerinin üçüncü aşamasında, ilk iki aşamada elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda, besleme fazı konsantrasyon değişimi, alıcı faz konsantrasyon ve alıcı faz türü değişimi gibi farklı parametrelerde deneyler yapılmıştır. Yapılan bu donnan diyaliz çalışmalarının sonucu olarak, Ni(II) iyonunun geri kazanma faktörü değerleri (RF) hesaplanmıştır. En yüksek RF değerleri besleme fazı konsantrasyonunun 1x10-1 M NiCl2.6H2O olduğu, alıcı faz konsantrasyonunun 1M HCl olduğu durumda elde edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda polimer içerikli membranların yüzey morfolojisindeki değişmeler SEM, AFM ve FTIR ile karakterize edilmiştir. Destekli sıvı membran deneylerinin üçüncü aşamasında ise, ilk iki aşamada elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda, besleme fazı konsantrasyon değişimi, alıcı faz konsantrasyon değişimi, besleme fazına ilave edilen farklı iyonların etkisi gibi farklı parametrelerde deneyler yapılmıştır. Yapılan bu donnan diyaliz çalışmalarının sonucu olarak, Ni(II) iyonunun RF değerleri, akış değerleri (J) ve geçirgenlik katsayısı değerleri (P) hesaplanmıştır. En yüksek RF değerleri besleme fazı konsantrasyonunun 1x10-1 M NiCl2.6H2O olduğu, alıcı faz konsantrasyonunun 1x10-2 M HCl olduğu ve besleme fazında farklı değerlikteki iyonlar olmadığı durumda elde edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda destekli sıvı membranların yüzey morfolojisindeki değişmeler SEM, AFM ve FTIR ile karakterize edilmiştir.Sonuç olarak, -P=O fonksiyonel grubuna sahip ditiyofosfonatların polimer içerikli ve destekli sıvı membranlarda taşıyıcı olarak kullanılabildiği ve taşıma deneylerinin başarılı bir şekilde gerçekleştiği gözlenmiştir. Aynı zamanda destekli sıvı membranların kararlılığı tekrarlanan deneylerle doğrulanmıştır. The main goal of this thesis was to prepare polymer inclusion and supported liquid membranes using carriers which has -P=O functional group and to use these membranes in separations. For this purpose, in the first stage of the study, polymer inclusion and supported liquid membranes were prepared using dithiophosphonates which has -P=O functional group. Prepared membranes were investigated separately.Initially; different solvents, plasticizers and polymers were examined for polymer inclusion membranes. Polyvinyledene fluoride (PVDF), polysulfone and cellulose triacetate (CTA) were used as polymer. Chloroform, 1-methly-2-prolidon and η-η dimethyl formamide were used as polymer solvent. 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether (ONPOE) and 2-nitrophenyl pentyl ether were used as plasticizer. O-NPOE and CTAchloroform showed best performance among various plasticizers and polymers, respectively. Methanol was used for preparing of supported liquid membranes and dissolution of carries as organic solvent. Experiments were performed to find the best optimum conditions at various parameters such as optimum carrier concentration and optimum stability after the preparation of supported liquid membranes.In the second stage of the experiments of polymer inclusion membrane, donnan dialysis experiments were performed to find the best optimum conditions at various parameters such as optimum pH, time and change of nickel concentration with carriers. Subsequent experiments were carried out in accordance with the optimum conditions.In the second stage of the experiments of supported liquid membrane, donnan dialysis experiments were covered change nickel concentration using carriers.In the third stage of the experiments of polymer inclusion membrane, accordance with the obtained results of the first second stages, the effects of feed phase concentration, strip phase concentration and strip phase type were examined with different parameters. As a result of these donnan dialysis experiments, recovery factor values (RF) of Ni(II) ion were calculated. The highest RF values were obtained when the feed phase concentration of 1,0x10-1 M NiCl2.6H2O, the strip phase concentration of 1 M HCl. Besides, the surface morphology changes of the polymer inclusion membranes were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and FTIR. In the third stage of the experiments of supported liquid membrane, accordance with the obtained results of the first second stages, the effects of feed phase concentration, strip phase concentration and presence of different ion of the feed phase were examined with different parameters. As a result of these donnan dialysis experiments, RF values flux values (J) and permeability coefficient values (P) of Ni(II) ion were calculated.The highest RF values were obtained when the feed phase concentration of 1.0x10-1 M NiCl2.6H2O, the strip phase concentration of 1.0x10-2 M HCl and different valence ion was absent in the feed phase. In addition, the surface morphology changes of the supported liquid membranes were characterized by SEM, AFM and FTIR.As a result, it was observed that a carrier can be used as dithiophosphonates which has –P=O functional group for polymer inclusion and supported liquid membranes and transport experiments were successfully realized. The stability of supported liquid membranes was also confirmed with replicate experiments.
