Dünyada Grass Skiing olarak bilinen çim kayağı, paletli iş makinelerinin çalışma esasından hareketle oluşturulmuş bir kayma aracıdır. Çim kayağı, kayak yapma zevkini ve sporunu yaz mevsiminde de tatmak isteyenler için ideal bir imkân sunar. Eğim şartları uygun olan ve sulanabilen her konumda çim kayağı pisti oluşturulabilir. Çim kayağını önemli kılan en önemli olgu, yaz mevsiminde yapılabilmesi ve önemli bir seyirci kitlesine sahip olmasıdır. Bu durum, Dünya turizm hareketlerine, yeni bir ivme ve aktivite konusu kazandırmıştır. Türkiye'de çim kayağına olan ilgi, sadece on yıllık bir gecikmeyle başlamıştır. Kayak sporu ile ilgilenen binlerce kişi, 1985 yılından sonra Avrupa'daki çeşitli çim kayağı merkezlerinde hem tatil hem de spor yapmaya başlamıştır ve ülkemizde de iki konumda çim kayağı tesisi oluşturulmuştur. Bunlardan ilki 2001 Dünya Gençler Çim Kayağı Şampiyonası'na ev sahipliği yapan Bursa Demirtaş Barajı DSİ Nilüfer Spor Çim Kayağı Tesisleri, ikincisi ise Bolu-Gerede Esentepe Oteli Çim Kayağı Tesisleri'dir.Bu çalışmada, turizm merkezi olarak bilinen Davraz Kayak Merkezinde yapılan Kuzey ve alp disiplini kayak, snowboard, dağcılık, bitki gözlemciliği, yamaç paraşütü ve trekking gibi rekreasyon etkinliklerine ek olarak ve ilin ekonomisine destek sağlayabilecek olan Çim Kayak merkezi olabilme açısından potansiyelinin belirlenmesi hedeflenmektedir.Çalışmada Davraz Kayak Merkezi’nde çim kayağı etkinliğinin belirlenmesi için Davraz dağının topografik yapısı ortaya konulmuş ve elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda Davraz Kayak Merkezi’nden çim kayağı etkinliği açısından uygun bölgeler belirlenmiş ve bu etkinliğin yapılabilmesi için gerekli fiziki alt ve üst yapı gereksinimleri ortaya konulmuştur. Cross-country skiing in the world, known as Grass Skiing, crawler construction machinery to be driven by a shift in the basis of the working tool. Thousands of people interested in the sport of skiing, grass skiing after 1985 in Europe, a variety of leisure and sports centres began and grass skiing resort in Turkey was established in two locations. 2001 World Junior Cross-Country Championships hosted the first of these, the DSI Dam Nilufer Bursa Demirtas Cross-country skiing sports facilities, and the latter Esentepe Gerede hotels in Bolu Plant in Cross-Country.In this study, known as a center of tourism in Davraz ski resort in North and alpine skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, plant-watching, paragliding and trekking in addition to recreational activities, such as providing support to the economy of the province and to evaluate the potential of the grass ski resort to be targeted.In this study, to determine the effectiveness of Davraz Grass Skiing Center for grass skiigg, topographical structure of Davras Mountain was determained and eligible regions in terms of the effectiveness of in order to put forth the necessary physical infrastructure and superstructure requirements was determained.
