Türkiye'de, sanayileşme ve teknolojik ilerlemeye paralel olarak, işyerlerindeki çalışanların güvenliği ile ilgili ortak sorunlar gündeme gelmeye başlamıştır. Gelişen teknolojiyle birlikte çalışanlar, daha önce karşılaşmadıkları yeni risk ve tehlikelerle karşı karşıya kalmaktadır. Başlangıçta fazla önemsenmeyen bu sorunların işletmelerin çalışmasını tehlikeye sokması ve iş verimini olumsuz etkilemesi sonucu, sağlık ve güvenlikle ilgili tedbirlerin alınması gündeme gelmiştir. Her geçen gün iş kazalarıyla maddi ve manevi kayıpların büyük boyutlara ulaşması, konunun önemini daha da arttırmaktadır.Bu çalışmanın amacı; genel olarak mermer fabrikalarında özelde ise Özçelik mermer fabrikasında iş güvenliği açısından ortaya çıkabilecek tehlike ve riskleri analiz ederek bunları kabul edilebilir düzeylerde tutabilmek için alınması gereken önlemleri belirlemektir. Uygulama alanı olarak; Aydın ilindeki Özçelikler Demir Sanayi Ticaret Turizm Yatırımları ve İşletmeciliği A.Ş.' ne bağlı Özçelik Mermer fabrikası seçilmiştir. Fabrikadaki tehlike ve riskler L Tipi Matris yöntemi ile değerlendirilerek, kontrol önlemleri ile risk seviyeleri kabul edilebilir seviyelere gelebilmesi için gerekli önlemler belirlenerek, önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Ayrıca fabrika içinde bulunan üretim makinaları için ilk kez Elmeri yöntemi uygulanarak işletmenin, genel güvenlik endeksi bulunmuştur. Fabrikanın iş güvenliği kapsamında genel durumu belirlenerek, tespit edilen eksiklikler konusunda önerilerde bulunulmuştur. In Turkey, in connection with the industrialization and technological development, common problems about the workers’ security in workplaces have started to become a current issue. With the developing technology, the workers face some new risks and dangers they haven’t met before. Those problems weren’t considered important at the very beginning. Because their endangering the work of business enterprise and affecting the efficiency of work negatively, the precautions to be taken about health and security have become a current issue. Because of the work related accidents, material and psychological loss has reached to great amounts day by day and this increases the importance of the subject. The aim of this study is to analyse the dangers and risks that might happen about labor security and to determine the precautions that must be taken in order to keep them at acceptable levels generally in marble factories and in Özçelik marble factory in private. As the application field Özçelik marble factory which is bound to Özçelikler Iron Industry Trade Tourism Investments and Business Administration Joint-Stock Company in Aydın has been chosen. The dangers and risks in the factory by being evaluated using L Type Matrix System, necessary precautions have been determined in order to bring the control precautions and risk levels to the acceptable levels and some suggestions have been made. Also located within the factory of production machines for the first time applying the method from Elmer's overall security index was found. Determined under the general condition of the plant's safety, suggestions have been made about the deficiencies identified. Keywords: L matrix method, Marble factories, Occupational health and safety
