Günümüzde dünya çapındaki %100 doğal olana yönelik eğilim, tüketiciyi sağlığı ve konforu ön plana çıkaran tekstil ürünlerini kullanmaya teşvik etmektedir. Söz konusu mamuller klasik tekstil ürünlerine nazaran katma değeri daha yüksek ürünler olup, ülkemize bu alanda önemli pazar payı kazandıracak potansiyele sahiptirler.Bu çalışmada, sentetik boyarmaddelere ve pahalı doğal boyarmaddelere alternatif olarak, bitkisel atıklar doğal boyarmadde kaynağı olarak kullanılmıştır. Söz konusu atıkların içerdikleri boyarmaddelerin tekstil elyafını boyama performansları, her bir atıktan elde edilebilecek renk tonları için gerekli proses ve reçeteler, boyanan numunelerin kullanım haslıkları ile boyama prosesleri sonunda boya atık sularının çevreye getirdiği kimyasal yük çalışma süresince incelenen detaylar arasındadır.Literatürde, bu konuda kapsamlı ve sistematik başka bir çalışma bulunmamaktadır ve bu yönüyle tez çalışması alanında bir ilk olma niteliği taşımaktadır.Çalışmada boyarmadde kaynağı olarak, elma, ıhlamur, mate çayı, yaban mersini ve kara havuç posaları kullanılmış; yün, pamuk ve rejenere soya elyafları boyanmıştır.Boyama prosedüründe tekstil elyafının yüzey yük karakterini değiştirmek için sitrik asit ve Na2CO3 mordan olarak FeSO4, CaCO3, alum, KNaC4H4O6, AlCl3 ve MgCl2 kimyasalları kullanılmıştır. Boyarmadde ekstraksiyonu ve boyama prosesi için optimum zaman, mordan miktarlarının optimizasyonu, boyanan tekstil mamüllerinin yıkama, sürtme, ter ve tükürük haslıkları, tez kapsamında inlenmiştir.Çalışma sonunda, pembe, lila, kızıl, kahverengi, mavi, yeşil, sarı, gri ve tonlarını kapsayan, geniş bir renk yelpazesi elde edilmiş, boyanan yün ve katyonik pamuk numunelerinde genelikle yüksek yıkama ve sürtme haslığı değerleri elde edilirken, yaban mersininden elde edilen doğal boyarmadde ile boyanan tekstil numunelerinde haslık değerleri oldukça düşük seviyede seyretmiştir. Soya lifi numunelerinde ise yıkama, solma ve lekeleme haslıkları, katyonik pamuk ve yüne göre daha düşük, fakat elde edilen renkler daha parlak ve canlıdır. Numunelerde ter ve tükürük haslıkları yün ve pamuk lifinde yüksek seviyede iken, soyada nisbeten düşük fakat kabul edilebilir aralıktadır. Boyama işlemi sonunda atık sudaki mordan kaynaklı metal içeriği analiz edilerek, çevresel etkileri mevcut yönetmelikler açısından değerlendirilmiştir. The added values of mentioned products are higher than conventional textiles products, and our country has the potential to gain significant market share in this area.In the work, vegetable wastes has been used as a source of natural dyes. The dyeing performance of dyestuff inside in the vegetable waste on textile fibers, necessary processes and recipes for color tones that could be obtained from each wastes, fastness properties of dyed samples, the chemical pollution of the wastewater at the end of the dyeing process were investigated. There is no comprehensive and systematic study on this issue in the literature hence, the thesis is a first in the field.In the study, various pulps mainly apple, lime, mate tea, blueberry and black carrot were used as source of dyestuff and three different textile fibers such as wool, cotton and regenerated soybean fibers were dyed. Citric acid and Na2CO3were used in order to change the surface weight character of the textile fiber, and FeSO4, CaCO3, alum, KNaC4H4O6, AlCl3, MgCl2 were used in order to create a bridge between fiber and dyes as mordant during the procedure. Extraction, dyeing time and the optimization of the used mordant concentration were also determined in the study.At the end of the study, a wide range of colors were obtained where pink, lilac, red, brown, blue, green, yellow, gray and similar color shades were observed on the textile fibers. While, high washing and rubbing fastness values have been obtained from the wool and cationic cotton samples, low fastness properties were obtained on the textile samples which have been dyed by natural dyestuff obtained from blueberries. The washing, fading and staining fastness properties of soybean fiber samples are lower than from the wool and cationic cotton samples, but the colour tones of soybean fiber samples are brighter and more attractive. While persiperation and saliva fastness properties of wool and cotton fiber are high level, soybean fibres samples is relatively low but acceptable range. At the end of the dyeing process, metal content in waste water caused by mordant was analyzed and the environmental impact evaluated in terms of the present regulations.
