Nanolifler, geniş yüzey alanı, yüksek gözeneklilik ve düşük çap gibi özelliklerinden dolayı tıp, biyomedikal, enerji ve filtrasyon gibi alanlarda fonksiyonel bir malzeme olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bir de üretildikleri polimerlerden gelen özellikler eklendiğinde nanolifler yüksek performans etkinliğine gereksinim duyan uygulamalar için aranan bir malzeme haline gelmektedir.Bu çalışmada elektrostatik lif çekimi ile literatürde ve piyasada mevcut olan nanoliflerin yapısal özelliklerinin iyileştirilmesi ve ilerletilmesi yanında özgün yapıda nanolifler geliştirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda bikomponent elektrostatik lif çekim ile besleme hızlarını değiştirerek biyomimetik nanolif yapılarının geliştirilebileceği, maleik asit ve tanik asit gibi çapraz bağlayıcıların polielektrolit desteği olarak belirli oranlarda ilave edildiğinde kontrol edilebilen 3D nanolif yapılarının elde edilebileceği, tasarlanan özel mesafe aparatı yardımıyla besleme ve toplama konum parametrelerini değiştirerek özgün yapıda morfolojilere sahip nanoliflerin elde edilebileceği ve son olarak süper emici özellikte çözeltiden düşük çaplara sahip nanolif elde edilebileceği ve dokusuz yüzeylerin üzerine başarıyla kaplanabileceği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.Yapılan SEM, FT-IR, hava geçirgenliği tayini, sıvı absorbsiyon kapasitesi tayini, damla testi analizlerin sonucuna göre çalışmada geliştirilen nanolifler, özgün morfoloji, ayarlanabilen mimari, kontrollü 3D yapı, emicilik vb. özelliklerinden dolayı fonksiyonel uygulamaların yeteneklerinin geliştirilmesi açısından gelecek vadetmektedir. Nanofibers have been used in medicine, biomedical, energy and filtration applications as a functional material due to their high surface to volume ratio, high porosity and low diameter. Once the properties coming from the polymers that they are produced from are added, the nanofibers become a demanded material for the applications requiring high performance efficiency.In this study, in addition to the improvement and advancement of structural properties of nanofibers available in the litrature and market, novel structured nanofibers were developed via electrospinning. Within this scope, the results obtained are: it is possible to develop biomimetic nanofibers by changing feeding rates in bicomponent electrospinning; controlled 3D nanofibrous structures could be produced via addition of maleic and tannic acid at defined ratios; nanofibers with novel morphologies could be fabricated via newly designed apparatus within this PhD study by changing feeding and collection positions; finally nanofibers having lower diameters from super absorbent containing polymer solution could be formed and could be successfully coated over a nonwoven textile.Nanofibers that are developed within this PhD study has been found promising in terms of development of capabilities of functional applications due to novel morphology, tunable architecture, coltrolled 3D structure, absorbency and etc. according to SEM, FTIR, air permeability, liquid absorbtion capacity, drop test and analysis results.
