İzmir, Manisa ve Aydın il sınırları içinde 2013-2014 yıllarında gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada, alanların Hydrophilidae ve Helophoridae tür kompozisyonları belirlenmiş, ayrıca bazı çevresel faktörlerin türlerin yaşam alanı tercihindeki etki düzeyleri çeşitli istatistiksel testlerle değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaçla, adı geçen illerde örnekleme yapılan toplam 99 farklı sucul alanın sıcaklık, çözünmüş oksijen, pH, elektriksel iletkenlik (EC) ve tuzluluk parametreleri de ölçümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, 8 cinse ait 30 tür ve toplam 1325 Hydrophilidae ve Helophoridae bireyi kaydedilmiştir. Zoocoğrafik değerlendirme için çalışma alanlarından tespit edilen bütün türlerin korotip sınıflandırması yapılmış ve 11 farklı korotip belirlenmiştir. MANOVA (Çok Değişkenli Varyans Analizi) testi sonucunda, üç ilin tüm parametreler bakımından birbirinden farklı olduğu bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Faktör Analizi ve PCA (Temel Bileşenler Analizi) testleri ile yaşam alanı tercihinde etkili olan çevresel faktörler; elektriksel iletkenlik, tuzluluk ve sıcaklık olarak belirlenmiştir. Tuzluluk ve elektriksel iletkenlik parametreleri arasında hesaplanan Pearson Korelasyon katsayısı 0,965 olarak bulunmuş olup istatistiki açıdan önemlidir (p<0,01). Kümeleme Analizi sonucuna göre, örnekleme yapılan alanlar arasındaki benzerlik oldukça yüksek oranlarda bulunmuştur. Tespit edilen türler ile ölçümlenen çevresel faktörler arasındaki ilişkiler ise CCA (Kanonik Uyum Analizi) ile değerlendirilmiş ve türlerin bu çevresel faktörlere göre nasıl dağılış gösterdikleri diyagramlar kullanılarak sunulmuştur. Species compositions of Hydrophilidae and Helophoridae occurring in İzmir, Manisa and Aydın provinces were determined in the present study conducted during the years 2013-2014. Additionally, the effect(s) of some environmental factors in habitat preferences of the species were evaluated by using various statistical tests. For this purpose, the 99 different wetlands sampled totally from the mentioned provinces were also measured for the physicochemical parameters including temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, electrical conductivity (EC) and salinity. Consequently, a total of 1325 individuals belonging to 8 genera and 30 species of Hydrophilidae and Helophoridae were recorded. Chorotype classification of all species collected from the study areas were made for zoogeographic evaluation, and 11 different chorotypes were determined. MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) test results showed that the three provinces are different from each other in terms of all physicochemical parameters (p<0,05). According to the results of Factor analysis and PCA (Principal Component Analysis); electrical conductivity, salinity and temperature are the main environmental factors responsible for habitat preferences. Pearson's correlation coefficient between the salinity and electrical conductivity parameters was calculated as 0,965 which is statistically significant (p<0,01). The result of Cluster analysis revealed rather high similarity rates between the sampling areas. The relationships between enviromental factors and the species determined were also evaluated with CCA (Canonical Correspondence Analysis), and the distribution of species according to these enviromental factors were presented using by CCA plots.
