Yaşanabilir alan içerisinde insanların maruz kaldığı hava kalitesinin artırılması ve termodinamik açıdan ısıl konforun sağlanması sağlıklı yaşam şartlarının ortaya çıkabilmesi için önemli bir parametre olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Özellikle şehirlerarası uzun yolculuklarda kullanılan yolcu otobüsleri içerisinde insanların termal konforunun sağlanması için araç iklimlendirme sistemleri kullanılmaktadır. Araç içi soğutma sistemlerinde kullanılan klima sistemlerinin insanların thermal konforunu sağlamak açısından üniform bir sıcaklık dağılımı oluşturması önemli bir değişkendir. Bu açıdan tasarım aşamasında, bu sistemlerin uygun bilgisayar simülasyonlarının gerçekleştirilmesi tasarımın başarıya ulaşmasında önemli bir kolaylık sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, şoför dahil 49 yolcu taşıma kapasitesine sahip bir otobüsün iç ortam sıcaklığının 310 K (37 C) başlangıç sıcaklığından kademeli olarak 293 K (20 C) üniform bir sıcaklık dağılımı ile azaltılabilmesi için gerekli sürenin tayini ve bu süre içerisindeki sıcaklık, basınç ve hız dağılımı sonlu elemanlar yöntemi (ANSYS) kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bu amaçla geliştirilen sonlu elemanlar programı, otobüs içerisinde şoför dahil 49 kişinin ısıl yükü termal manken modellemesi ile hesaplanmış ve iç ortam şartlarının gerçek şartlara uyumu sağlanmıştır. Ayrıca, otobüste kullanılan içten yanmalı motorun çalışması esnasında otobüsün kabin içerisine vermiş olduğu ısı, kullanılan modelde dikkate alınmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, ANSYS programında geliştirilen gerçek şartlara uygun durum senaryosuna göre 5 dk aralıklarla elde edilen sıcaklık, basınç ve hız dağılım grafiklerinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre yaklaşık 15 dk süre içerisinde otobüsün iç ortam sıcaklık dağılımının üniform olarak 293 K değerine ulaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Increasing the quality of the air which the people are exposed to within livable area and providing thermal comfort in terms of thermodynamics are evaluated as an important parameter for revealing the conditions of a healthy life. Vehicle air conditioning systems are used in the passenger busses which are generally used for long distance travels in order to provide the thermal comfort for the people. Air conditioning systems which are used in vehicle cooling systems create an uniform temperature distribution so as to be capable of providing the thermal comfort of the people and this is an important variable. From this point of view, at design stage, accomplishment of an appropriate computer simulations for these systems plays an important role for a successful design. In this study, the necessary period for the reduction of ambient temperature of a bus having a transportation capacity of 49 passengers including the driver from the start up temperature 310 K (37C) gradually to 293 K (20C) with an uniform temperature distribution as well as the distribution of temperature, pressure and velocity within this period have been analyzed by finite elements analysis. By using the finite elements program which has been developed for this purpose, thermal modeling of the 49 persons inside the bus including the driver have been used and calculated thus adaptation of ambient temperature to real conditions has been provided. In addition, the heat which is radiated into the bus cabinet during operation of internal combustion engine inside the bus was taken into consideration in the model used. At the end of the study, according to the real conditions adaptation scenario which was developed in ANSYS program, according to the results obtained from the temperature, pressure and velocity distribution graphics in 5 minute intervals; the ambient temperature distribution inside the bus was determined to reach 293 K value uniformly within 15 minutes approximately.
