Bu çalışmada, AISI 1040 çelik kül üfleme nozuluna Ekabor-II tozu kullanılarak 1000 ºC sıcaklıkta 8 saat süreyle katı ortamda borlama işlemi uygulanmıştır. Çelik bir malzeme üzerindeki aşınma direnci incelenmiş ve buna bağlı olarak malzemenin ömür analizi yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı enerji sektöründe borlama işleminin kullanım alanlarının belirlenmesi ve sonuçlarının tespit edilmesidir. Borlanan numune aşınma deneyi için termik santralde denenmiştir. Borlanan iş parçasının Spektral, Mikroyapı, SEM, X-ışınları difraksiyonu (XRD), mikro sertlik analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda borlama işlemi uygulanan iş parçasının ömürünün, borlama işlemi uygulanmayan iş parçasına göre arttığı gözlenmiştir. Deneyde 1440 saat (2 ay) çalışan orijinal kül üfleme nozulu deney sonunda deforme olmuş ve kullanılamaz hale gelmiştir. Borlanan iş parçasının orjinaline göre aşınmaya karşı 4 kat daha dirençli olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu durumun enerji üretim sektörüne sağladığı yararlar tespit edilmiştir. In this study, the pack boronizing was made to ash blowing nozzle that manufactured from AISI 1040 steel using Ekabor-II powder at 1000 ºC temperature during 8 hours. Wear resistance was inspected on a steel material thus life cycle analysis of the material was made. Purpose of this research is determination usage areas of boriding in energy sector and detection of the results. Boronized specimen were tested in the thermal power plant for wear experiment. Spectral, Microstructure, SEM, X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and micro hardness analysis of boronized workpiece were carried out. At the end of study it was observed that life of the boronized workpiece was increased in contrast to unboronized workpiece. Original ash blowing nozzle that operates 1440 hours (2 months) in the experiment, were deformed in the end of the experiment and they become unserviceable. It was seen that boronized workpiece has four times resistant against the wearing due to the original. Benefits of this situation were detected to the energy production sector.
