Bu çalışma, Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Orman Mühendisliği Anabilim Dalı'nda "Yüksek Lisans Tezi" olarak 2014-2015 yıllarında periyodik olarak araştırma alanlarında gözlemler, örnek toplanması ve laboratuvar çalışmaları ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Dioryctria sylvestrella Göller Bölgesi'ndeki kızılçam ormanlarında, özellikle plantasyon sahalarında önemli zarara yol açan bir türdür. Türün mücadelesi için her yönüyle iyi tanınması, biyolojisinin doğal koşullarda bilinmesi ve biyolojik mücadele amacıyla doğal düşmanlarının tespit edilmesi gereklidir. Bu nedenle zararlının morfolojisi, Göller Bölgesi'nde zararının yoğun olduğu ormanlarda ki zararı ile biyolojisi araştırılmış ve popülasyonu üzerinde etkili olan doğal düşmanları tespit edilmiştir. Zararlının yörede özellikle kızılçam plantasyon sahalarında oldukça yaygın olduğu ve genç fertlerde zararının önemli boyutta olduğu görülmüştür. Ağaçların gövdelerinin çoğunlukla alt kısımlarında bulunduğu, ağaçlarda yoğun reçine salgısına sebep oldukları gözlenmiştir. Böceğin yılda bir nesil verdiği belirlenmiştir. Böceğin larva gelişiminin yaklaşık onbir ay boyunca sürdüğü ve böylelikle kışı larva döneminde geçirdiği saptanmıştır. Mayıs ayı ortasından itibaren reçine salgılarının içinde pupa olmaya başladığı ve pupa döneminin üç hafta sürdüğü, erginlerin uçma zamanının yükselti ve iklim koşullarına bağlı olarak haziran ayı boyunca sürdüğü tespit edilmiştir. Larvaların haziran ayı sonunda yumurtadan çıkmaya başladığı belirlenmiştir. Genç larvaların ilk olarak gövde kabuğunun altında beslenmeye başladıkları görülmüştür.Çalışma boyunca D. sylvestrella'nın larvaları ile beslenen avcı türler Forficula auricularia L. 1758 (Dermaptera: Forficulidae) ve Raphidia (Raphidia) ophiopsis Linnaeus 1758 (Raphidioptera: Raphidiidae) gözlemlenmiştir. Larva ve pupa parazitoiti olarak ise Brachymeria tibialis (Walker 1834) (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae) ve Venturia robusta (Ceballos 1955) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) tespit edilmiştir. This study was conducted from 2014 to 2015 as "Master's Thesis" at Süleyman Demirel University, Graduate School of Applied and Natural Sciences, Department of Forest Engineering through periodical observations and sampling in study sites and also laboratory studies.Dioryctria sylvestrella is a pest that causes significant damage on the brutian pine forests of the Lake's District, especially the plantation sites. All aspects of this insect should be understood well to control this species, its biology should be identified under natural conditions and its natural enemies should be identified to perform biological control. Therefore, the morphology of this insect, the damage it caused under the field conditions in the forests of the Lake's District, and its biology were explored while its natural enemies that were effective on the population were identified.The pest was found to have a wide distribution in the region, especially in the brutian pine plantation sites and cause a significant damage on the young trees. They were found mainly on the lower parts of the tree trunks and led to the intensive release of resin. It was observed to have one generation in a year. The larvae development of the insects took about eleven months and thus it was understood that they owerwintered as larvae. Starting from the mid-May, pupae develop inside the resin released and the pupae development took three weeks, the adults flew throughout June depending on the elevation and the climatic conditions. The larvae hatched in late June. The young larvae were observed to start feeding first on the barks of the trunk.Throughout this study, it was observed that the predatory species which were Forficula auricularia L. 1758 (Dermaptera: Forficulidae) and Raphidia (Raphidia) ophiopsis Linnaeus 1758 (Raphidioptera: Raphidiidae) fed with the larvae of D. sylvestrella. As larvae and pupae parasitoid, Brachymeria tibialis (Walker 1834) (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae) and Venturia robusta (Ceballos 1955) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) were identified. All of these predatory species and parasitoids were recorded for the first time in our country as the natural enemy of these harmful insects.
