Bu tez çalışması, kenar etkisinin Burdur-Ağlasun yöresindeki bazı memeli yaban hayvanları ile ilişkisinin belirlenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda; orman-su, orman-çalılık, orman-ziraat, orman-iskan, çalılık-su, çalılık-ziraat ve çalılık iskan olmak üzere 7 farklı arazi örtü/kullanım tipi esas alınmıştır. Herbir tipten 10 adet olmak üzere toplam 70 adet örnek alanda memeli yaban hayvanlarına ait iz ve belirtiler tespit edilerek arazi karnelerine kayıt edilmiştir. Çalışmada yöntem olarak; ilk önce farklı türlere ait iz, dışkı ve belirti sayıları kullanılarak bu türlerin farklı arazi örtü/kullanım tipi dağılımları belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra, shannon çeşitlilik indeks değerleri ile memeli yaban hayvanlarının farklı arazi örtü/kullanım tiplerinden hangilerini tercih ettiklerine ulaşılmıştır. Son olarak ise çalışma alanına ait beta çeşitliliği hesaplanmıştır. Beta çeşitliliğine etki eden memeli yaban hayvanları ve arazi örtü/kullanım tiplerinin katkı oranları tespit edilmiştir. Çeşitlilik indeksi hesaplarında Past programı kullanılırken, en ideal çeşitlilik indeks değerinin belirlenmesi için SPSS.20 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, Burdur-Ağlasun yöresinde Yaban tavşanı (Lepus europaeus), Yaban domuzu (Sus scrofa), Porsuk (Meles meles), Kaya sansarı (Martes foina) ve Tilki (Vulpes vulpes) türleri tespit edilmiştir. Çeşitlilik indeksi hesaplarıyla, en yüksek shannon çeşitlilik değerinin çalılık-iskan (1,45) tipinde olduğu, en düşük shannon çeşitlilik değerinin ise orman-ziraat (0,85) tipinde olduğu bulunmuştur. Çalışma alanına ait beta çeşitliliği 0,83 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Beta çeşitlilik değerine en fazla katkıyı çalılık-su arazi örtü/kullanım tipi sağlamıştır. Yine beta çeşitliliğine en yüksek katkıyı Yaban tavşanı (% 51,2) ve Yaban domuzu (% 36,1) türlerinin yaptığı tespit edilmiştir. This study was carried out to determine the relation of edge effect on some wild mammals in Burdur-Aglasun district. For this purpose, 7 different land use/cover types consisting of forest-water resource, forest-shrubbery, forest-agricultural area, forest-settlement, shrubbery-water source, shrubbery-agricultural area and shrubbery-settlement were based on. Sign and tracks of wild mammals in the total of 70 sample plots, including 10 pieces of each type were recorded to field carts. In this study; first of all, the numbers of sign and tracks belonging to different species in different land use/cover type distribution of this species were determined. Then, different land use/cover type preferences of wild mammals were analysed with shannon diversity index values. Finally, beta diversity of study area was calculated. The contribution rates of wild mammals and different land use/cover typies affecting beta diversity was measured. While diversity index was calculated by the way of Past programme, SPSS.20 was used to analyze the most appropriate type of diversity index. In the result of study, European hare (Lepus europaeus), Wild boar (Sus scrofa), Badger (Meles meles), Beech marten (Martes foina) and Red fox (Vulpes vulpes) were identified in Burdur-Aglasun district. By the way of diversity index calculation, higher shannon diversity value was found to shrubbery-settlement (1,45), lower shannon diversity value was also found with forest-agricultural area (0,85). Beta diversty of study area was calculated as 0,83. The most contribution to beta diversity was provided by shrubbery-water source land use/cover type.
