Bu çalışma Aydınca (Amasya) yöresinde asli ağaç türlerinin potansiyel dağılım alanları ve yetişme ortamı özellikleri arasındaki ilişkileri araştırmak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla 453 örnek alanda çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmada toplam 6 farklı asli ağaç türünden kızılçam, karaçam ve sarıçama ait dağılım özellikleri lojistik regresyon analizi ile, boylu ardıç, doğu kayını ve saçlı meşe türlerine ait dağılım özellikleri ise sınıflandırma ağacı tekniği ile modellenmiştir. Lojistik regresyon analizi sonucunda kızılçama ait modelde radyasyon indeksi, kireçtaşı, şist, diğer tip anakayalar ve yükselti değişkenleri, karaçama ait modelde ofiyolit melanj, yükselti, 25-50 cm arası toprak derinliği ve radyasyon indeksi değişkenleri, sarıçama ait modelde ise 0-25 cm toprak derinliği ve yükselti değişkenleri türlerin dağılımına en etkili faktörler olarak sıralanmıştır. Sınıflandırma ağacı tekniği sonucunda boylu ardıç ve doğu kayınına ait modellerin her ikisinde de yükselti, radyasyon indeksi, sıcaklık indeksi ve eğim değişkenleri yer alırken, saçlı meşeye ait modelde ise sadece yükselti değişkeni etkili olmuştur. Çalışmaya ait sonuçlar topluca değerlendirildiğinde yörede yayılış gösteren asli ağaç türlerinin potansiyel dağılım alanlarının tamamında yükseltinin önem arz ettiği görülmüştür. Bu durum aslında mevcut türlerin dağılımında yükseltiye bağlı olarak iklim özelliklerinin en etkili faktör olduğu sonucunu doğurmuştur. Diğer yandan modellerin çoğunda radyasyon indeksi önem arz etmiştir. Bu durum ise özellikle yörede türlerin potansiyel dağılımında bakıdan kaynaklı lokal iklim özelliklerinin de etkin rol oynadığı sonucunu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu iki temel faktör haricinde yine yöredeki eğim, anakaya tipleri ve toprak derinliklerinin türlerin dağılımında etkili olabilecek diğer önemli çevresel faktörler olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. This study was performed in Aydınca district (Amasya) in order to explore the relations between the potential distribution of the main tree species and the forest site factors. To this end, 453 sample areas were studied. In the study, the distribution of Pinus brutia, Pinus nigra and Pinus sylvestris among 6 different main tree species was modelled by means of the logistic regression analysis, while the distribution of Juniperus excelsa, Fagus orientalis and Quercus cerris species was modelled through classification tree technique. The logistic regression analysis revealed that the radiation index, limestone, schist, other types of bedrock and elevation variables in the model for P. brutia; ophiolitic melange, elevation, soil depth from 25 to 50 cm and radiation index variables in the model for P. nigra; soil depth from 25 to 50 cm and elevation variables in the model for P. sylvestris were the most influential factors on distribution of the species. The classification tree technique showed that elevation, radiation index, temperature and slope were influential in both of the models for the J. excelsa and F. orientalis, while only the elevation variable was influential in the model for Q. cerris. An evaluation of the study all collectively indicates that elevation appears to be important in the potential distribution of all main tree species distribution in the region. This leads to the conclusion that the climatic features represent the most important factor on the distribution of the existing species due to elevation. On the other hand, radiation index was found to be important in the majority of the models. Therefore, it can be concluded that the local climatic features arising due to the aspect play an active role in the potential distribution of the species in the region. It has been concluded that slope, types of bedrock and soil depth account for the other important environmental factors that might influence the distribution of the species in addition to the above mentioned basic factors.
