Bu çalışmada, yeni mühendisler için eğitici ve endüstriyel eğitim programları oluşturmak ve lisans ve yüksek lisans laboratuvarlarındaki öğrencilerin rölelerin davranış ve performanslarını normal ve anormal koşullarda farklı senaryolar aracılığıyla anlamalarına yardımcı olmak amacıyla Matlab tabanlı jeneratör koruma rölesi geliştirilmiştir. Jeneratörlerin koruma röleleri, Matlab SIMULINK’te Güç Sistemi Bloğu (GSB) kullanılarak tasarlanmıştır. Beş tip röle tasarlanmış olup, bunlar; anlık aşırı akım rölesini de kapsayan aşırı akım, belirli zaman ve üç tip Ters Belirli Minimum Zaman (TBMZ) diferansiyel röleleridir. Bu tasarımlar, ANFIS algoritmalarıyla, aşırı/düşük frekans, ters güç ve dengesiz yük koşullarında incelenmiştir. Test ve simülasyon amaçlı kullanılan elektrik şebekesi, üç-faz jeneratöründen, 11 KV ve 132 KV’luk devre kesicilerden ve 11 KV’dan 132 KV'a kadar akım ve gerilim ölçen transformatörden oluşmaktadır. Tasarlanan tüm rölelerdeki çıkış sinyali normal şartlarda “1” anormal koşullarda ise “0”dır. Tasarlanan rölelerin, akımın çıkış gücü ile değişimi, fazlar arası ve faz toprak hataları, çıkış gücüyle frekansın değişimi ve mekanik gücün elektrik gücü ile değişimi gibi farklı senaryolarda testleri ve simülasyonları yapılarak röleler, hatalara hızlı tepki verecek ve hataların tespitini ve sınıflandırılmasını yüksek hassasiyet sağlayacak biçimde tasarlanmıştır. Her bir röle için farklı senaryolar oluşması ve jeneratörlerdeki hataların ayırt edilmesi için ani kapanma sinyalinin devre kesiciye yollanma hızı, algılayıcı değeri, rölelerin kapanma süresi ve seviyesi gibi set değerlerinde yüksek esneklik sağlanmıştır. This research, aims to develop the design of the generator protection relays based on Matlab in order to benefit the educational, industrial training programs, fresh engineers and to help students in undergraduate/graduate laboratories to understand the behavior & performance of these relays through different scenarios of protection relays in the normal and abnormal conditions. Protection relays of the generators is designed by using power system block PSB in MATLAB SIMULINK. Five types of relays were designed and they are, over current which includes (instantnuos over current, define time and three types of inverse time over current IDMT), differential relay which is used with ANFIS algorithm, over/under frequency, reveres power and unbalance load of generator. The electrical grid which is used for testing and simulating are consist of, three phase generator, circuit breaker 11 KV, 132 KV, current and voltage measuring transformer, up transformer 11 KV to 132 KV and three phase load. The output signal of all the designed relays is logic “1” in the normal condution and logic “0” in the abnormal condition. The designed relays are tested and simulated under diffrent scenareos suchas change current with load, fault line to line, line to graond, frequency with the load and electric power with the mechanical power, the relays are developed in a way that gives us fast response to the faults, high accuracy in detecting and classifying the faults types, Speed in sending the trip signal to the circuit breaker for separation the faults from the generator and high flexibility to change the setting values, pickup value, trip time and trip level of the relays in order to get different scenarios for each relay.
