Bu tez çalışması 2015 ve 2016 vegetasyon periyodunda Karaman yöresinde yaygın olarak yetiştiriciliği yapılan Çiltopak mahalli zeytin çeşidinin tanımlanması amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Bu amaçla “Olive Germplasm-Italian Cortalogue of Olive Varieties”, “Catailogo Mundial de Variedades de Olivo” ve “Türkiye Zeytin Çeşitleri Kataloğu” yanında UPOV kriterleri göz önüne alınarak incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Çiltopak zeytin çeşidinin ağaç yüksekliği 4.39 m, taç genişliği 5.40 m ile “kuvvetli” bir ağaç yapısında olduğu saptanmıştır. Kısa bir somak yapısına sahip olan çeşidin her bir çiçek somağında ortalama 19 adet çiçek olduğu belirlenmiştir. “Yuvarlak” meyve şekline sahip Çiltopak zeytinlerinin tane ağırlığı 6.24 g ile “çok iri” meyveli sınıfında yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Meyve etinden “kolay” ayrılan çekirdeklerin, çekirdek oranı %13.33’tür. Standart zeytin çeşitlerin birçoğundan daha üstün özelliklere sahip olan Çiltopak; “erkenci”, “çok iri”, “yeşil sofralık” değerlendirmeye uygun bir zeytin çeşidi olarak tanımlanmıştır. This study was carried out in order to identify Çiltopak local olive cultivated in Karaman region during 2015 and 2016 vegetation periods. For this purpose, "Olive Germplasm-Italian Cortalogue of Olive Varieties", "Catailogo Mundial de Variedades de Olivo" and "Olive Variety Catalog of Turkey" have been investigated by considering UPOV criteria. As a result of the study, it was determined that Çiltopak olive variety has a "strong" tree structure with a tree height of 4.39 m and a crown width of 5.40 m. It has been determined that there are 19 flowers in each flower cluster, which has a short thyrsus structure. It has been determined that Çiltopak olives have a "round" fruit shape and that they are in the "very large" fruit grade class with a grain weight of 6.24 g. The proportion of the seeds that are "easy" to leave the fruit flesh was 13.33%. Çiltopak which has superior properties than most of the standard olive varieties; It is defined as an olive variety suitable for evaluating "early", "very large", "green table".
