Yapısal çelik; sönüm kabiliyeti ve yüksek süneklik düzeyi açısından depreme dayanıklı yapı tasarımında en önemli yapısal malzeme konumundadır. Ancak yapısal çeliğin mekanik özelliklerinin bir getirisi olan bu avantajları, yapı sisteme aktarabilmesi için sistemde birleşim tasarımından başlayarak, tüm yapı tasarımına kadar, süneklik için gerekli koşulların yerine getirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu sebeple kullanılan yapısal çeliğin kesitsel ve bütünsel olarak davranışının yapısal davranışa etkisi iyi irdelenmelidir. Ülkemizde yapısal çelik endüstrisinde çokça kullanılan kutu kesitli profiller, sahip olduğu kesit özelliklerinin sergilediği davranışın göz ardı edildiği durumlarda; iç kuvvetler etkisi altında meydana gelen lokal burkulmalara bağlı ani kapasite kaybı ve gevrek kırılmalar yapıda telafisi olmayan hasarlara sebebiyet vermektedir. Bu sebeple, bu tipte ki profillerin kullanıldığı durumlarda, olası burkulmaların dikkate alındığı tasarımlar yapılmalı, ya burkulmaların önüne geçilmeli ya da sistem davranışında burkulmaya bağlı kapasite kayıpları göz ardı edilmemelidir. Bu çalışmada, lokal burkulmaların önüne geçmek için kullanılan başlık levhası ile imal edilmiş bir kaynaklı kutu kesitli birleşimde eksenel kuvvetin lokal burkulmalara ve kapasiteye etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla mevcut bir doktora tez çalışmasında statik artımsal yatay yük altında deneysel sonuçları elde edilmiş numuneleri, eksenel yük altında sayısal olarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar altında kutu kesitli bir birleşimde lokal burkulmaların önüne geçmek için kullanılan başlık levhalı güçlendirme tekniğinin, eksenel yük altındaki etkinliği irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Structural steel ; is the most important position in terms of high ductility level earthquake resistant structural design about damping capability and structural materials. However, structural steel in these benefits, a return of the mechanical properties, starting from the design to the assembly to join the system to system, so the whole building design , it is necessary to fulfill the requirements for ductility. For this reason; the effect of cross-sectional and overall structural behavior as the behavior of structural steel used should be considered. In our country, and in the structural steel industry, the box-section profiles used widely, internal forces linked to sudden capacity of local buckling occurred under the Influence of Loss and brittle fracture are to give rise to irreversible damage to the building itself. Therefore, in cases where the use of this type of profile, considering the possible buckling of the design should be done, or should prevent the buckling and buckling due to loss of capacity in the system behavior should not be ignored. In this study, we investigated local buckling effect on capacity of strengthening box section connection with head plate under axial force. For this purpose, experimental results obtained in a current phd thesis, that is under incremental static horizontal load. In this study sample were numerically investigated under axial load. The results obtained under the box section of a combination of the techniques used to strengthen the cover plates to prevent the local buckling under axial load efficiency has been studied .
