Bu tez kapsamında yüksek saflıktaki galen mineralinin yüksek asidik-yüksek bazik pH değerleri (pH 1.5-11.5) arasında toplayıcı türü (potasyum etil ksantat; PEX, sodyum izopropil ksantat; SIPX, sodyum izobütil ksantat; SIBX, potasyum amil ksantat PAX), toplayıcı miktarı, kıvamlandırma süresi, hava akış hızı (HAH) ve köpürtücü (metil isobutil karbinol; MIBC) ilavesine bağlı olarak flotasyon verimine olan etkileri Hallimond tüp deneyleri gerçekleştirilerek karşılaştırılmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; galenin flotasyon veriminin, en düşük ve en yüksek hidrokarbon (C-H) zincirine sahip olan potasyum esaslı ksantat türü toplayıcılar varlığında (PEX ve PAX), sodyum esaslı toplayıcılar (SIPX ve SIBX) varlığında elde edilen flotasyon verimlerinden daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca artan kıvamlandırma süresi (2.5-10 dk) ile birlikte sabit toplayıcı miktarında (2.5 mg/lt), SIPX ve SIBX varlığında flotasyon veriminin arttığı, PEX ve PAX varlığında ise artan kıvamlandırma süresi (>5 dk) ile flotasyon veriminin azaldığı sonucu elde edilmiştir. HAH’nın etkisi incelendiğinde ise; artan HAH değerlerinde (4-10 lt/saat) SIPX ve SIBX varlığında flotasyon verimleri artarken, PEX ve PAX varlığında (> 7 lt/saat HAH) galen flotasyon verimlerinde azalma görülmüştür. Köpürtücü (MIBC) kullanımında ise her bir toplayıcı varlığında (2.5 mg/lt), köpürtücü ilavesi (0.8 mg ve 4 mg)’nin flotasyon verime olan etkisinin arttığı ve artan MIBC miktarı ile birlikte flotasyon verimlerinin en yüksek seviyelere (>%90) ulaştığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, bu tez çalışması ile farklı değişkenlerin galen mineralinin flotasyon verimine olan etkileri konusunda daha sonra yapılacak olan çalışmalara bu tezin yol gösterici olması hedeflenmiştir. sodium isopropyl xanthate; NaIPX, sodium isobutyl xanthate; NaIBX, potassium amyl xanthate; KAX), the collector amount, the conditioning time, the air flow rate (AFR) and the amount of frother (methyl isobutyl carbinol, MIBC) on flotation recovery response of high-purity of galena mineral were investigated comparatively by realization with Hallimond tube tests between high acidic and high basic pH conditions (1.5-11.5 pH) According to the results obtained; the performance of galena flotation were found to be higher in using the potassium-based xanthate collectors (KEX and KAX) having the lowest and highest hydrocarbon (C-H) chains than the flotation performance obtained in using the sodium-based collectors (sodium isoprophyl xanthate; NaIPX and sodium isobutyl xanthate; NaIBX). In addition, the flotation performance was increased in the using the NaIPX and NaIBX, the increasing conditioning time (2.5-10 min) and the constant amount of collectors (2.5 mg/L), while the flotation performance was reduced in using KEX and KAX with increased conditioning time (> 5 min). When the investigation of air-flow rate (AFR) effect was found; flotation performance was increased in using of NaIPX and NaIBX at increasing AFR values of (4-10 liters / hour), while the flotation performance was decreased in using of KEX and KAX (> 7 L/hour AFR). In the presence of different frother amounts (MIBC) (0.8 mg and 4 mg) and in the tests using of all collectors the flotation performances were increased by the increase in MIBC amount and flotation performance was determined reached the highest levels (> 90%) with the increased MIBC. Furthermore, it is also aimed that this thesis will be guided by the work that will be done later on the effects of different variables on the flotation performance of galena mineral.
