Çelik yapıların imal edildikleri malzemenin elastik ve elastik olmayan sınırlar içerisinde sahip olduğu yetenekleri sergileyebilmesi tasarımdan başlayan ve imalatla sonuçlanan birçok faktöre bağlıdır. Bunlardan öncelikli olarak yapı elemanlarının kesit özelikleri, birleşim detayları ve sistem geometrisi; yapının sismik etkiler altındaki etkinliğinde büyük oranda pay sahibidir. Bu sebep ile çelik yapıları meydana getiren unsurların kesit özelliklerinin belirlenmesinde, kesiti belirlenen yapı elemanlarının birleştirilmesin de uygun tekniğin kullanılması bir zorunluluktur. Bu durum kutu kesitli profillerin kullanıldığı birleşimlerde daha etkin çözümlerin üretilmesini gerektirmektedir. Çünkü eğilme etkisine maruz kutu kesitli birleşimlerin kullanıldığı sistemlerde, profillerin kesit özeliklerinin bir getirisi olan lokal burkulmalar ani bağlı kapasite kayıplarına sebep olmaktadır. Son yıllarda başta kendi şartnamemiz olmak üzere, diğer teknik standartlarda, lokal burkulmaların önüne geçmek için rijit değerler ve kontroller getirilmiştir. Bu kontrollerde genellikle birleşime giren yapı elemanlarının güçlü /zayıf yaklaşımına bağlı boyut parametreleri koordine edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Yapılan bu tez çalışmasında ise yapı elemanlarının boyutsal değişimlerini koordine etmek yerine; meydana gelen lokal burkulmaların önüne geçmek istenmiştir. Bu amaçla daire kesitli kolon /dikdörtgen kesitli kirişin kaynaklı olarak dizayn edildiği birleşimde kolon yüzeyine bir başlık levhası yerleştirilmiştir. Bu şekilde eğilme ve eksenel kuvvet altında başlık levhası ile imal edilmiş birleşimin; lokal burkulmalar ve kapasite değişimleri incelenmiştir. Structural steel; is the most important position in terms of high ductility level earthquake resistant structural design about damping capability and structural materials. However, structural steel in these benefits, a return of the mechanical properties, starting from the design to the assembly to join to system, so the whole building design , it is necessary to fulfill the requirements for ductility. For this reason; the effect of cross‐sectional and overall structural behavior as the behavior of structural steel used should be considered. In our country, and in the structural steel industry, the box‐section profiles used widely, internal forces linked to sudden capacity of local buckling occurred under the Influence of Loss and brittle fracture are to give rise to irreversible damage to the building itself. Therefore, in cases where the use of this type of profile, considering the possible buckling of the design should be done, or should prevent the buckling and buckling due to loss of capacity in the system behavior should not be ignored. In this study, we investigated local buckling effect on capacity of strengthening circular box section column&rectangular cross section beam connection with head plate under axial force. For this purpose, experimental results obtained in a current phd thesis, that is under in cremental static horizontal load.In this study sample were numerically investigated under axialload. The results obtained under the circular box section of a combination of the techniques used to strengthen the cover plates to prevent the local buckling under axial load efficiency has been studied .
