Bu çalışmanın amacı, Iğdır ili merkez ilçede komşu ülkelerden gelen gıda ürünlerine yönelik tüketicilerin satın alma davranışlarını analiz etmektir. Araştırmada 198 kişiden yüz yüze anket yöntemiyle elde edilen veriler kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, ortalama aile genişliği 4.38 kişi olup 1 ile 20 kişi arasında değişim göstermektedir. Tüketicilerin hane halkı gıda harcamaları minimum 100 TL, maksimum 4000 TL ve ortalamada 797, 98 TL olduğu hesaplanmıştır. Ailelerin aylık, gıda harcamalarının toplam gelirden aldığı pay en düşük gelir grubu (0-999 TL) olan I. gelir grubunda %66.67'dir. Tüketicilerin %44.44'ünün gıda alışveriş sıklığı haftada birdir. Tüketicilerin %80.30'u paketli (ambalajlı) gıda ürünleri tercih ederken %19.70'i açık ürünleri tercih etmektedir. Tüketicilerin satın aldıkları gıda ürünleri satın almada önem verdikleri kriter ürünün lezzetidir. Ankete cevap veren 198 kişinin %74.75'i sınır ticareti ve kayıt dışı yollarla gelen ürünleri ayırt edebildiğini belirtirken, %25.25'i ayırt edemediğini belirtirken, tüketicilerin %12.63'ü sınır ticareti ve kayıt dışı yollarla gelen ürünlerin sıklıkla satın aldığını bildirmiştir. Tüketicilerin en çok satın almayı tercih ettikleri Komşu Ülkelerden Gelen Gıda Ürünü (KÜGGÜ) "hurma" olduğu, KÜGGÜ'lerin satın alınmasındaki en büyük nedenin de ürünlerin fiyatlarının uygunluğudur. KÜGGÜ'lerin fiyatları piyasadan daha düşük olması nedeniyle rekabet konusunda bölge esnafı ve tarım kesimi olumsuz etkilenmektedir. Tüketicilerden %56.57'si KÜGGÜ ticaretinin Iğdır şehir ekonomisine katkısı olduğunu belirtmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Sınır ticareti, satın alma, tüketici davranışları, gıda ürünleri.
The aim of this study was to evaluate purchasing behaviors of consumers for food products coming from neighboring countries to Iğdır central district. As a part of the study, the data from 198 participants with face to face questionnaire method were used. According to the results of the study, average household size was 4.38 participants and ranged from 1 to 20 participants. When household's food expenses were examined, average of the expenses was seen to be 797, 98 TL with the minimum 100 TL and the maximum 4000 TL. Monthly, the share of food expenses within total income of the families was 66.67% for the lowest income group defined as the first income group (0-999 TL). Food shopping frequency of 44.44% of the consumers was seen to be once a week. 80.30% of the consumers preferred packaged products, whereas 19.70% of the consumers preferred unpackaged products. The most important criterion affecting purchasing decision of the consumer was determined to be product flavour. It was determined that 74.75% of the participants giving answer to the questionnaire recognized the products coming through border-trade and illegal ways, 25.25% of the participants could not recognized the mentioned products, and 12.63% of them frequently bought the products coming through border-trade and illegal ways. Date was the most preferred food product coming from neighbouring countries (FPCFNC). The most important reason for purchasing FPCFNC of the consumers was determined to be the suitability of prices. It was determined that FPCFNC are affected adversely due to its low prices for the regional traders and farmers in non-competitive, 56.57% of the consumers stated to be the contribution of FPCFNC to the economy of Iğdır province.
