Bu çalışmada sol-jel daldırma tekniğini kullanarak iplik yüzeyine Titanyum dioksit (TiO2) kaplanmaktadır. Titanyum dioksit, geniş bant boşluğuna sahip olması, yarı iletken metal oksit olarak kolay bulunabilmesi, pahalı olmaması, çevreyi kirletmemesi, zehirli olmaması, en çok kullanılan yarı iletken foto katalitik malzeme olması nedeniyle yapılan testlerde tercih edilmiştir. Yarı iletken metal oksitlerin elektronik ve optik özellikleri, çok geniş kullanım alanları sunmaktadır. Kendi kendini temizleyen ürünler, fotokatalitik maddeler, düşük sıcaklık oksidasyon katalizörleri yarı iletken metal oksitlerin uygulama alanlarına örnektir. Sol-jel teknolojisinden yararlanarak, elektriksel iletkenlik ya da yarı iletkenlik kazandırılarak üretilen, günlük hayatımızda kullanılabilir ve giyilebilir tekstil yüzeyleri elde edilmesi ve bunların elektriğin bulunmadığı ortamlarda küçük teknolojik aletleri çalıştırması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca elektriksel iletkenlik kazandırılan lif, iplik vb materyallerin ya da yüzeylerin gücünü fotovoltaik (PV) sistemlerden alması hedeflenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmalar doğrultusunda ipliklerin elektriksel iletkenlikleri ölçülmüş, güç tutuşurluk, mukavemet, elestikiyet ve konfor özellikleri incelenmiştir. Yapılan testler sonucunda yarı iletken iplikler elde edilmiştir. Fakat yarı iletken ipliklerden küçük elektronik aletleri çalıştırabilecek kadar iletkenlik sağlanamamıştır. Bu yüzden yarı iletken iplikler, iletken ipliklerle güçlendirilip küçük elektronik aletleri çalıştırması sağlanmıştır. Ayrıca elektriğin bulunmadığı ortamlarda gücünü fotovoltaik (PV) sistemlerden alan peltier giyilebilir tekstil yüzeylerine monte edilip yazın soğutucu etki, kışın ise ısıtıcı etki sağlamıştır. Böylece fotovoltaik (PV) sistemler tekstile uygulanarak ekonomik yoldan enerji elde edilmiştir. In this study, Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is coated on the yarn surface using the sol-gel immersion technique. TiO2 is preferred for testing because it has wide band gap, is easy to find as semiconductor metal oxide, it is not expensive, it does not pollute the environment, it is not toxic, it is the most used semiconductor photocatalytic material. The electronic and optical properties of semiconductor metal oxides offer a wide range of applications. Self-cleaning products, photocatalytic materials, low temperature oxidation catalysts are examples of application areas of semiconductor metal oxides. Using sol-gel technology, it is aimed to obtain usable and wearable in our daily life textile surfaces which are produced by imparting electrical conductivity or semiconductivity and to operate small technological tools in environments where electricity is not available. In addition, it is also aimed for the electrical conductivity-imparted fibers, yarns or surfaces to receive their power from photovoltaic (PV) systems. The electrical conductivities of the yarns were measured in line with the work done and the characteristics of flame resistance, strength, elicitation and comfort were investigated. As a result of the tests made, semiconductor yarns were obtained. However, the semiconductor yarns were not sufficiently conductive to operate small electronic devices. Therefore, semiconductor yarns were reinforced with conductive yarns to operate small electronic devices. Also, in environments where there is no electricity, the peltier that receives power from photovoltaic (PV) systems is mounted on wearable textile surfaces to provide a cooling effect in summer and a heating effect in winter. Thus, photovoltaic (PV) systems were applied to the textile to obtain energy from the economic path.
