Ülkemizdeki okul yapılarının büyük oranda tip projeler kullanılarak inşa edilmektedir. İnşa edilen bu okul binalarının büyük çoğunluğunun simetrik kalıp planlarına sahip olması ve benzer mimari görünüme sahip olması ''Acaba okul binalarının deprem güvenliklerinin incelenmesi uzun hesaplar yapılmadan pratik bir yaklaşım ile yapılabilir mi?'' sorusunu akla getirmektedir. Bu tez çalışması kapsamında, okul türü binaların deprem güvenliğinin pratik şekilde belirlenmesi için ATI, KAYGI ve KANI olmak üzere üç yaklaşım önerilmiştir. Bu amaçla 4,6 ve 8 derslikli olmak üzere üç tip model bina kalıp planı seçilmiştir. Seçilen 3 tip kalıp planının her birinin her iki yönüne simetrik 4 adet betonarme perde yerleştirilerek perdeli çerçeveli sistemler oluşturulmuştur. Seçilen 3 tip kalıp planının her biri 2, 3, 4 ve 5 katlı olarak modellenmiştir. Model binaların her biri 2 tip malzeme grubu için oluşturulmuştur. Birinci tip malzeme grubu, yurdumuzdaki binaların genel malzeme durumlarını yansıtması açısından beton sınıfı C10, donatı sınıfı S220 ve mesnet bölgelerinde sargılama Yok olarak seçilerek bu malzeme tipi kısaca C1S2Y olarak adlandırılmıştır. İkinci tip malzeme grubu ise binalarının projede öngörülen malzeme durumlarını yansıtması açısından beton sınıfı C20, donatı sınıfı S420 ve mesnet bölgelerinde sargılama Var olarak seçilmiş ve bu malzeme tipi kısaca C2S4V olarak adlandırılmıştır. Böylece hesaplamalarda toplamda 24 adet tip okul binası dikkate alınmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında üretilen 24 adet model okul binasının, doğrusal elastik olmayan hesap yöntemlerinden Artımsal Eşdeğer Deprem Yükü yöntemi ile Sap 2000 programı kullanılarak performans değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında okul türü binalar incelendiği için model binaların hedeflenen minimum hedef performans seviyeleri, DBYBHY (2007)'ye göre 50 yılda aşılma olasılığı %10 olan depremler için Hemen Kullanım (HK) ve 50 yılda aşılma olasılığı %2 olan depremler için Can Güvenliği (CG) şeklindedir. Seçilen 24 adet model binanın her biri aşılma olasılığına göre hedeflenen minimum hedef performans seviyelerini sağlayana kadar betonarme perdeler her iki yönde 5'er cm artırılarak öngörülen performans seviyesini sağlayan en küçük perde duvar boyutları her iki doğrultu için elde edilmiştir. Böylece bu tez çalışması kapsamında model binalar için toplamda 96 adet en küçük perde duvar boyutu elde edilmiştir. Aranan perde duvarların boyutları model binalar için yaklaşık 8-15 deneme yapılarak belirlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla, yapılan bu tez çalışması kapsamında model binalar için yaklaşık olarak 750 adet doğrusal elastik olmayan çözüm yapılmıştır. Model bina çözümleri kullanılarak okul tipi binaların deprem güvenliğini belirlemede kullanılmak üzere 3 adet pratik yaklaşım önerilmiştir. Bu yaklaşımlardaki sınır değerlerin tutarlılığının tespiti için Isparta bölgesinde bulunan 30 adet çerçeveli ve perdeli çerçeveli okul binası proje verileri temin edilmiştir. Belirlenen bu 70 adet okul binasının her birinin, C1S2Y ve C2S4V malzeme grupları için doğrusal olmayan değerlendirme yöntemi ile performans seviyeleri belirlenmiştir. 70 adet okul binasına her iki doğrultuda, iki tip malzeme ve iki tip hedef performans seviyesi için (50 yılda aşılma olasılığı %10 olan depremler için Hemen Kullanım, 50 yılda aşılma olasılığı %2 olan depremler için Can Güvenliği) çözüm yapıldığından mevcut binalar için 560 adet çözüm yapılmıştır. Tez kapsamından model ve mevcut binalar için toplamda yaklaşık 1250 adet doğrusal elastik olmayan ayrıntılı çözüm yapılmıştır. 70 adet okul binası, önerilen yaklaşımların her biri ile performans değerlendirmesine tabi tutulmuştur. Yapılan performans değerlendirmesi kapsamında elde edilen sonuçlar, DBYBYH esasları ile uyumlu olarak ayrıntılı yapılan çözüm sonuçları ile kıyaslanarak pratik performans değerlendirme yaklaşımlarının geçerlilikleri incelenmiştir. Tez çalışması kapsamında ayrıca yeni tasarlanan okul binalarının depreme karşı güvenli olması için gerekli olan kolon ve perde duvarların miktarları önerilen yaklaşımlar ile belirlenmiştir. Bunun için, kat adedine ve C2S4V malzeme grubuna bağlı olarak önerilen yaklaşımlarda verilen indeks ifadesini ilgili yaklaşımın sınır indeks değerine eşitleyerek düşey taşıyıcı elemanlar boyutlandırılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında betonarme kesitlerin analizleri BESAM programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Typical projects are used to construct the major percentage of school buildings in Turkey. The majority of these school buildings have symmetrical mold plans and similar architectural appearance. This situation raises the question "Can investigation of seismic safety for school buildings be done with a practical approach instead of long calculations?". Within the scope of this thesis study, three approaches have been proposed to practically determine seismic safety of school buildings. These approaches are ATI, KAYGI and KANI. In order to determine these approaches, three types of model building formwork plans with 4, 6 and 8 classrooms were selected. Shear wall- frame systems have been created by placing 4 reinforced concrete shear walls symmetrically on both sides of each of the 3 selected formwork plans. Each of the 3 types of selected formwork plans were modeled as 2, 3, 4 and 5 stories. Each of the model buildings was built for 2 types of material combination. The first type of material combination was selected as Concrete Class C10, Reinforcement Class S220 and confinement at nodal point zones "none", and this material type was briefly named C1S2Y in terms of reflecting general material conditions of buildings in our country. The second type of material combination is selected as Concrete Class C20, Reinforcement Class S420 and confinement at nodal point zones "exist", and material type is briefly called C2S4V in terms of reflecting the material conditions which is predicted in the project. Thereby, a total of 24 types of school buildings were taken into account in the calculations. Performance evaluation of the 24 model school buildings produced within the scope of the current study was made by using incremental equivalent earthquake load method. Performance evaluation was performed by using Sap2000 program. Due to the fact that the study focuses on school buildings, according to Turkish Earthquake Code (2007), the target minimum performance levels of the model buildings are as follows; %10 probability of exceeding occurrence in 50 years as defined "İmmediate Use" and %2 probability of exceeding occurrence in 50 years as defined "Life Safety". The smallest reinforced concrete shear wall dimensions, provided the predicted performance level, are obtained by increasing by 5 cm the reinforced concrete shear walls in both directions. This process was carried out until each of the selected 24 model buildings provided the minimum target performance levels based on the probability of exceeding occurrence. Thus, within the scope of this thesis study, a total of 96 smallest reinforced concrete shear wall dimensions were obtained for model buildings. The desired reinforced concrete shear wall dimensions were determined by making about 8-15 trials for model buildings. Therefore, within the scope of this thesis study, approximately 750 nonlinear analyzes have been made for model buildings. By using model building analyzes, three practical approaches have been proposed in order to use in determining the seismic safety of school-type buildings. In order to determine the consistency of the limit values in these approaches, 30 project data of framed and shear wall- framed systems school buildings where in Isparta region. Performance levels for each of these 70 identified school buildings have been determined by using nonlinear evaluation method. The performance determination is made for material types which are C1S2Y to represent existing school buildings and C2S4V to represent new design school buildings. Analyses are carried out for two types of materials and two types of target performance levels (%10 probability of exceeding occurrence in 50 years as defined "İmmediate Use" and %2 probability of exceeding occurrence in 50 years as defined "Life Safety") of each 70 school buildings' in both directions. So that, for existing buildings 560 real analyses was obtained in total. Within this current thesis, in total approximately detailed 1250 nonlinear evaluations were made for model and existing buildings. 70 school buildings were subjected to performance evaluation with each of the suggested performance evaluation approaches. The validity of practical performance evaluation approaches is determined by comparing the results obtained under the performance evaluations with detailed results in accordance with Turkish Earthquake Code (2007) principles. In addition, within the scope of this current thesis, the amounts of columns and curtain walls were determined by using the proposed approaches. The amounts of columns and walls are necessary in order to newly designed school buildings are required to be safe against the earthquake. For that, vertical carrier elements are dimensioned by equaling the boundary index value of the relevant approach to index expression given in recommended approaches depending on the floor group and the C2S4V material group. Within the scope of this current study, analyzes of reinforced concrete sections were carried out by using the BESAM program.
