Yapılan bu çalışman temel amacını, sahip olduğu yüksek protein ve yağ içeri ile özellikle kanatlı ve pet hayvanı beslemede alternatif bir besin katkısı olarak ön plana çıkan, T. molitor'un, gelişme ve üreme karakterlerine ait genetik parametrelerin tahmin edilmesi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada son dönem larva ağırlığı (SDLA), pupa ağırlığı (PA), ergin ağırlığı (EA), Larva uzunluğu (LU), pupa süresi (PS), pupada kalış süresi (PKS) ve ergin olma süresi (ES) gelişim özellikleri olarak, familya birey sayısı (FBS) ise üreme özellikleri olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmada son dönem larva ağırlığı, pupa ağırlığı ve ergin ağırlığı özelliklerine ait kalıtım derecesi tahminleri sırasıyla; 0.45, 0.65 ve 0.43 olarak tahmin edilmiştir. Çalışmada gelişim sürelerine ilişkin kalıtım derecesi tahminleri ise; pupa olma süresi için 0.27, pupada kalış süresi için 0.91 ve ergin olma süresi için 0.32 olarak tahmin edilmiştir. Araştırmada familya birey sayısına ilişkin kalıtım derecesi 0.98 olarak tahmin edilmiştir. Bulunan bu sonuçlara göre T. molitor' un özellikle gelişim özelliklerinin genetik ıslah potansiyeli olduğu söylenebilir. The main aim of this study is to estimate the genetic parameters of T. molitor, which has a high protein and fat content, especially as an alternative nutritional supplement for feeding poultry and pet animals. In is study, as the characteristics of development of larval weight (SDLA), pupa weight (PA), adult weight (EA), larval length (LU), duration of pupa (PS), duration of pupal stay (PKS) and the number of individuals in the family (FBS) were evaluated as reproductive characteristics. Estimates of heritability of late larval weight, pupa weight and adult weight characteristics in the survey were; 0.45, 0.65 and 0.43, respectively. Estimates of heritability for the developmental periods in the study are; 0.27 for the duration of the pupa, 0.91 for the duration of the pupal stay, and 0.32 for the adult period. The heritability for the number of individuals in the study was estimated to be 0.98.
