Bu araştırma, Eskişehir İli Seyitgazi İlçesi sınırlarında yer alan 1050 metre ortalama yükseltiye sahip Karaören Köyü merasında 2016 yılı vejetasyon döneminde yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada merada yer alan bitki türleri, bitki ile kaplı alan, botanik kompozisyon, topraküstü biyomas, toprakaltı biyomas ve mera durumu gibi konular ele alınırken, toprak özellikleri açısından da bazı özellikler incelenmiştir. Araştırma sahası sınırları içerisinde yer alan toprakların tekstür sınıfı kumlu balçık olarak bulunmuştur. Toprakların ortalama hacim ağırlığı 1.189 gr/cm3, pH miktarı 7.66 ile hafif alkalin, tuzluluk miktarı 3.76 mS/cm ile hafif tuzlu toprak, organik madde miktarı % 0.98 ile fakir, kireç miktarı % 1.16 ile az kireçli olarak tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca Ca miktarı 1638.3 ppm, K miktarı 191.1 ppm ve Mg 174.2 ppm ile yeterli seviyededir. Çalışma alanının vejetasyon yapısı incelenmiş olup 49 familyaya ait 89 adet takson tespit edilmiştir. En fazla taksona sahip familyalar 10 takson ile Poaceae, 8 takson ile Fabaceae ve 7 takson ile Asteraceae olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sahasının bitkiyle kaplı alan değeri ortalama % 51.2 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca mera alanının botanik kompozisyonunun % 44.28'sini buğdaygiller, % 22.56'sını baklagiller ve % 33.16'sını diğer familyalar oluşturmaktadır. Meranın topraküstü biyomas miktarı ortalaması 351.6 kg/da, toprakaltı biyomas miktarı ortalaması ise 560.7 kg/da bulunmuştur. Otlatma kapasitesi 91 BBHB, mera durumu ise iyi olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda sahada bilinçsiz, aşırı ve erken otlatma yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Mera alanında yer yer erozyon belirtilerine de rastlanılmıştır. Bu durumda erozyonu önleyici tedbirler alınarak, koruyucu önlemlerin alınması ve otlatmanın planlanıp belirli bir düzene sokulmasıyla meranın istenilen seviyeye getirilmesi mümkün olacaktır. This research was carried out during the vegetation period of 2016 in the Karaören Village, which has an average elevation of 1050 meters, located at the Seyitgazi District of Eskisehir. In the study, while some of the features of pasture such as plant species, plant-covered area, botanical composition, above-ground biomass, below-ground biomass and pasture status were discussed, some features were examined in terms of soil characteristics. The texture class of soils located within the borders of the research area was found as sandy slime. The soil was found to have a bulk density of 1.189 gr/cm3, slightly alkalinity with a pH of 7.66, a salinity of 3.76 mS/cm with a slightly salty soil, a poor organic matter content of 0.98% and a low lime content of 1.16%. In addition, the amount of Ca was 1638.3 ppm, K amount was 191.1 ppm and Mg was 174.2 ppm, all in sufficient levels. The vegetation structure of the study area was examined and 89 taxa belonging to 49 families were identified. The families with the highest taxa were identified as Poaceae with 10 taxa, Fabaceae with 8 taxa and Asteraceae with 7 taxa. The mean value of the vegetation area in the study area was determined to be 51.2%. In addition, 44.28% of the botanical composition of the pasture area consisted of wheat, 22.56% of legumes and 33.16% of other families. The average amount of biomass above the ground was 351.6 kg/da and the average amount of below-ground biomass was 560.7 kg/da. Grazing capacity was 91 BBHB, and the pasture condition was found to be good. As a result of the study, it was determined that there was unconscious, excessive and early grazing in the field. There were also some indications of erosion in the pasture area. In this case, it will be possible to bring the pasture area to the desired level by taking erosion preventive measures, and by planing the grazing and regulating it in a certain system.
