Burdur'da taze fasulye üretimi 1991 yılında 3106 ton iken 7.55 kat artarak 23452 tona ulaşmıştır. Bu noktada çalışmanın amaçları; Burdur ilinde taze fasulye üreten işletmelerin sosyo-ekonomik yapılarının incelenmesi, üretiminin fonksiyonel analizi, üretim ile ilgili sorunlarının belirlenmesi ve çözüm önerilerinde bulunulması olarak saptanmıştır. Çalışmada uygulanacak olan anket çalışmasında örnek sayısının belirlenmesinde tabakalı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bunun için Neyman Yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Buna göre ana kitleyi temsil edecek örnek sayısının 112 işletme olduğu hesaplanmıştır. Analiz için gerekli veriler, Burdur ili Merkez ilçesi köylerinde taze fasulye yetiştiriciliği alanında faaliyet gösteren işletmelerden yüz yüze anket yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Fasulye üretimi yapan işletmelerin genel yapısal özellikleri, işletmelerin arazi varlığı ve kullanım durumu, işletmecilerin yaşı, eğitim durumu, işgücü kullanımı gibi göstergeler incelenmiştir. Taze fasulye üreticilerin ortalama yaşı 42.57 yıl, eğitim süreleri 5.46 yıl, bitkisel üretimde deneyimleri ortalamada 14.68 yıl ve taze fasulye üretiminde deneyimleri ise 11.13 yıldır. İşletmelerin ortalama parsel büyüklüğü 7.76 da ve ortalama arazi parça sayısı 2.16 adettir. Ele alınan bölgedeki işletmecilerin işletme arazi büyüklüğü 16.760 da'dır. Bu alanın %69.48'i işletmecilerin kendine ait, %30.52'si de kiraya tuttukları arazilerden oluşturmaktadır. İşletmelerde ortalama hane genişliği 4.22 kişidir. Taze fasulye yetiştiricilerinin ortalama hane genişliğinin %16.91'i 0-6 yaş, %16.70'i 7-14 yaş, %46.93'ü 15-49 yaş, %19.45'i 50 yaş ve üzeridir. İşletmelerin masraflarını belirlemek için tek ürün bütçe analiz yöntemi esas alınarak hesaplanmıştır. Brüt, mutlak ve nisbi kârlar hesaplanmıştır. İşletme maliyetlerinin %67.63'ünü değişen masraflar oluşturmaktadır. İşletmeler ortalaması değişen masraflar 44774.34 TL, sabit masraflar 12391.07 TL'dir. İşletmelerin dekara kullandıkları tohum miktarı 8.2 kilogramdır. Dekara tohum maliyeti 326.30 TL olarak tespit edilmiştir. Dekara sulama maliyeti işletmeler ortalamasında 133.70 TL, ilaç maliyeti ise 85.89 TL olarak hesaplanmıştır. Taze fasulye üretiminde dekara işgücü kullanımı 267.94 saattir. İşletmeler ortalamasında dekara makine kullanımı ise 6.32 saat olarak bulunmuştur. Ortalamada işletme başına düşen brüt kâr 22780.81 TL, mutlak kâr 10389.74 TL'dir. Araştırma bölgesinde taze fasulye yetiştiriciliğinde nispi kâr 1.18'dir. Taze fasulye üretiminin fonksiyonel analizinde Cobb-Douglas üretim fonksiyonu kullanıllanılarak analiz yapılmıştır. Cobb-Douglas tipi üretim fonksiyonuna göre taze fasulye üretimindeki girdiler arasında önemli ilişkilerin olduğu söylenebilinir. Girdilere ilişkin üretim esnekliklerinin toplamı 1.106 olarak bulunmuştur. Bu değer, ölçeğe artan getiriye yakın bir durumu ifade etmektedir. Dolayısıyla ele alınan bütün girdilerin %1 oranında artırılması, taze fasulye üretim miktarını %1.106 oranında artmasını sağlayacaktır. Çalışmada taze fasulye üreticilerinin üretim tercihlerini etkileyen faktörlere karşı tutumlarını değerlendirme çok boyutlu ölçekleme analizi (MDS) analizi ile yapılmıştır. Çok boyutlu ölçekleme analizi ile işletmecilerin sosyo demografik ilişkileri ile ekonomik göstergeleri ilişkilendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Kruskal's formülüne göre hesaplanan stress değeri 0.12967 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırma sahasında taze fasulye üretimini artırmak için öneriler; taze fasulye için bir kooperatifin kurulması, üreticilerin bilinçlendirilmesi, girdi maliyetlerinin düşürülmesi ve taze fasulyeye ürün desteği verilmesi şeklindedir. The objectives of the study at this point were (i) to examine the socio-economic structure of the farmers producing green beans in the Burdur province, (ii) to perform functional analysis of production, (iii) to identify problems of farmers and to provide solutions related production. Neyman Method was used as a layered sampling method in determining the number of samples to be interviewed. Accordingly, the number of samples to be represented by the main population was calculated as 112 farmers. The data required for the analysis were obtained by face-to-face surveys of the farmers who cultivated green beans in the villages of the central district of Burdur province. The general structural characteristics of the farmers who produce green beans, the landowners' status and use of the farmers, the ages of farmers, the educational status and the use of labour were examined. Green bean producers were found to have an average age of 42.57 years, educational levels of 5.46 years, experience in agricultural production of 14.68 years and experience in green bean cultivation of 11.13 years in farmers' average. The average parcel size of green bean farmers was 7.76 and the number of pieces was 2.16. The average farm of green bean farmers in the region covered was 16.76. 69.48% of this area was made up of farmers own land, and 30.52% was land rented. The average household size in farmers was 4.22 persons. 16.91% of the average household households of green bean growers were 0-6 years old, 16.70% were 7-14 years old, 46.93% were 15-49 years old, 19.45% were 50 years old and over. The single product budget analysis method was used to determine the production cost. Gross profit, absolute profit and relative profit were calculated in green bean growing. 67.63% of total production costs accounted for variable costs. In green bean farming, the average variable cost of farmers was calculated as 44774.34 TL and fixed costs as 12391.07 TL. The seeds used by the farmers in the average were 8.2 kilograms per decares. In green bean cultivation, the seed cost was 326.30 TL per decares, the irrigation cost was 133.70 TL and the pesticide cost was 85.89 TL per decares. Green bean production was found to be 267.94 hours of labour use and 6.32 hours of machine use per decares in the average of farmers. Gross profit in farmers average was calculated as 22780.81 TL, absolute profit was calculated as 10389.74 TL. The relative profit of green bean growing was found to be 1.18 in the study area. Cobb-Douglas production function was used for functional analysis of green bean production. According to the Cobb-Douglas-type production function, it was determined that there were significant relationships among inputs used in green bean production. The sum of the production elasticities of the inputs was found to be 1.106. This value represented a situation close to the scale of increasing returns. Therefore, a 1% increase in all inputs will increase the amount of green bean production by 1.106%. In the study, multidimensional scaling analysis (MDS) was used to assess the attitudes of green bean producers to factors affecting their production preferences. Multidimensional scaling analysis was used to correlate the socio demographic correlations of the farmers with economic indicators. The stress value calculated according to Kruskal's formula was calculated as 0.12967. To increase green bean production in research, the following suggestions can be stated: It is important to establish a cooperative for the green bean in the region, to raise awareness of the producers, it is important to reduce the input costs, it is important to give product support to the green bean.
