Yükseköğretim kurumlarının gün geçtikçe sayılarının ve çeşitlerinin artması, bu kurumların verdiği eğitimdeki hizmet kalitesinin karşılaştırılması, ulusal ve uluslararası tanınabilirliği ve entegrasyonu güçleştirmektedir. Ülkemizde farklı fakültelerin altında yapılandırılmış olan Peyzaj Mimarlığı Programı'nın vizyon ve misyonunun, öğretim ve eğitim, araştırma ve geliştirme, izleme, denetleme ve değerlendirme gibi süreçlerinin tümünü kapsayan konularının uluslararası standartlara ulaşabilmesi ve sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanabilmesi "Akreditasyon Süreçlerinin" tanımlanması ve önemsenmesi ile mümkündür. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümlerinde Akreditasyon sürecinin ne olduğu ve nasıl gerçekleştirileceği incelenmiş ve bu kapsamda (LAAB, MİAK, IFLA-EFLA) ve Çabuk (2010) ve İTÜ PM örnek teşkil etmeleri açısından incelenerek rehber niteliğinde bir akreditasyon kurumunun başvuru şartları, akreditasyon ölçütleri, süreçleri, eğitimde elde edilmesi gereken bilgi ve beceri çıktıları ortaya konulmuştur. Oluşturulan bu rehber bazında SDÜ Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümünün mevcut durumu kapsamında akreditasyon olma süreci incelenmiş, mevcut eksiklikler tespit edilmiş ve öneriler getirilmiştir. The increasing number and variety of higher education institutions make it difficult to compare the quality of education services provided by these institutions, national and international recognition and integration. Different forms and features of the Landscape Architecture Program can achieve international standards and predict sustainability and are possible with the identification and consideration of "Accreditation Processes" The main aim of this study is to examine what the accreditation process of the Landscape Architecture Departments is and how to implement them and by examining in this context (LABB, MİAK, IFLA-EFLA) and Çabuk (2010) and ITU L.A. example establishments, application criteria of an accreditation institution as a guide, accreditation criteria , processes, knowledge and skill outcomes that should be achieved in education. In this guideline created, the process of accreditation within the scope of SDÜ Landscape Architecture section has been examined, existing deficiencies have been identified and recommendations have been made.
