Isparta gülü, ülkemize dünyada bilinirlik sağlayan, sosyal ve kültürel yönleri ile turistik ve ekonomik katkılar sunan tarımsal bir üründür. Türkiye ve Bulgaristan, ekonomik getiri için gül üretimi yapan başlıca iki ülkedir. Isparta gülü, yağ üretimi yanında aromaterapi uygulamalarında da kullanılan tedavi edici hoş kokulu bir çiçektir. Eleme, hava akımı ile ayırma ve kurutma sistemlerinin enerji ve maliyet analizinin denemeleri Isparta Merkez Yakaören köyünde kurulu bulunan Gülbirlik'e ait Yakaören Gül Yağı Fabrikasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sistemlere kurulan enerji analizörleri aracılığıyla sistemlerin enerji tüketimleri ölçülüp maliyet hesapları çıkartılmıştır. Eleme denemeleri sonunda % 69.60 ve % 74.99 nemli güller için sırasıyla iş kapasitesi; 371.50 ve 376.82 kg h-1, özgül enerji tüketimi; 0.57 ve 0.56 kWh ton-1 ve birim üretim maliyeti; 0.1170 ve 0.1149 TL ton-1 olarak belirlenmiştir. Hava akımı ile ayırma denemeleri sonunda % 69.60 ve % 74.99 nemli güller için % 25 fan açıklık konumunda sırasıyla iş kapasitesi; 253.80 ve 327.21 kg h-1, özgül enerji tüketimi; 12.05 ve 12.07 kWh ton-1 ve birim üretim maliyeti; 2.4729 ve 2.4770 TL ton-1 bulunmuştur. % 50 fan açıklık konumunda ise sırasıyla iş kapasitesi; 357.60 ve 340.12 kg h-1, özgül enerji tüketimi; 10.71 ve 11.29 kWh ton-1 ve birim üretim maliyeti; 2,1979 ve 2,3169 TL ton-1 bulunmuştur. % 75 fan açıklık konumunda ise sırasıyla iş kapasitesi; 383.91 ve 384.41 kg h-1, özgül enerji tüketimi; 10.86 ve 10.25 kWh ton-1 ve birim üretim maliyeti; 2.2287 ve 2.1035 TL ton-1 bulunmuştur. % 100 fan açıklık konumunda ise sırasıyla iş kapasitesi; 419.83 ve 326.09 kg h-1, özgül enerji tüketimi; 9.72 ve 13.06 kWh ton-1 ve birim üretim maliyeti; 1.9947 ve 2.6802 TL ton-1 olarak belirlenmiştir. Kurutma sonunda; 45 ve 55 °C sıcaklıklar için sırasıyla iş kapasitesi; 0.32 ve 0.63 kg h-1 olarak bulunmuştur. Aynı sıcaklıklar için özgül enerji tüketimi sırasıyla; 10.46 ve 5.13 kW h kg-1 olarak belirlenirken, spesifik nem çekme oranı ise 45 ve 55 °C sıcaklıklar için sırasıyla 0.401 ve 0.736 kg kWh-1 olarak bulunmuştur. Nem çekme oranı ise 45 ve 55 °C sıcaklıklar için sırasıyla 1.346 ve 2.372 kg h-1 olarak bulunmuştur. Kurutma maliyeti ise her iki kurutma sıcaklığı olan 45 ve 55 °C için sırasıyla; 2.1466 ve 1.0528 TL kg-1 olarak belirlenmiştir. Isparta Rose is an agricultural product that provides world-wide awareness to our country, offering touristic and economic contributions with social and cultural aspects. Turkey and Bulgaria are the two main countries that produce rose for economic return. Isparta rose is a therapeutic fragrant flower used in aromatherapy applications besides oil production. Experiments on energy and cost analysis of screening, separation and drying systems by airflow were carried out at Yakaören Rose Oil Factory of Gülbirlik, established in Isparta Central Yakaören Village. Through the energy analyzers installed in the systems, the energy consumption of the systems was measured. At the end of determined screening trials, work capacity for 69.60 % and 74.99 % moist roses were identified respectively; 371.50 and 376.82 kg h-1, specific energy consumption; 0.57 and 0.56 kWh ton-1 and unit production cost; 0.1170 and 0.1149 TL ton-1. At the end of the airflow separation experiments, the work capacity was found out, for the roses with 69.60 % and 74.99 % moisture content, with 25 % fan clearance, respectively. 253.80 and 327.21 kg h-1, specific energy consumption; 12.05 and 12.07 kWh ton-1 and unit production cost; 2.4729 and 2.4770 TL ton-1. At the end of drying; work capacity for temperatures of 45 and 55 °C was found out, respectively; 0.32 and 0.63 kg h-1. While specific energy consumption for the same temperatures were respectively 10.46 and 5.13 kWh kg-1, specific desorption rates were found as 0.401 and 0.736 kg kWh-1 for temperatures of 45 and 55 °C. The drying cost for both drying temperatures of 45 and 55 °C, was respectively determined as; 2.1466 and 1.0528 TL kg-1. Specific energy consumption (SEC) was identified as 2.60 and 1.36 kWh kg-1, specific drawing ratio (SMER) was identified as 0.40 and 0.74 kg kWh-1, moisture draw ratio was identified as 1.35 and 2.37 kg h-1.
