Bu çalışmada, elma işleme (ön eleme-ayırma) katı atıklarının (EİKA); sığır gübresi (SG), tavuk gübresi (TG) ve saman ile karıştırılarak farklı sıcaklıklarda kompostlanmasının proses performansına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Kompost başlangıç karışımında %44.17 EİKA, %36.42 SG, %10.18 TG ve %9.23 saman kullanılmıştır. İncelenen kompostlama performans parametreleri: ayrışma hızı, kompostlama kayıpları (kuru madde kaybı, organik madde kaybı ve karbon kaybı), elektrik enerjisi tüketimi ve olgunlaşma parametreleridir (çimlenme indeksi, deneme sonu amonyum/nitrat oranı ve karbon/azot oranı (C/N)). Bu parametreler doğrultusunda optimum kompostlama sıcaklık aralığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada birinci dereceden kompost kütle dengesine dayalı kinetik denklem kullanılmıştır. Deneme süresince, sıcaklık, oksijen ve karbondioksit konsantrasyonları, nem içeriği, organik madde içeriği, pH ve elektriksel iletkenlik, amonyum ve nitrat içeriği, havalandırmadan kaynaklı elektrik tüketimi ölçülmüştür. Deneme sonunda kompost örneklerinde ve çimlenme indeksi ölçülmüştür. Kompostlama işleminde sıcaklık kontrolü için sıcaklık geri beslemeli kontrol işlemi uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonuçları, sıcaklık kontrol işleminin daha düşük sıcaklıklarda gerçekleştirildiğinde kontrol işleminin zorlaştığı ve havalandırma fanlarının daha fazla zorlandığını göstermiştir. Kompostlama işleminin daha yüksek sıcaklıklarda kontrol edilmesi ile organik madde ki azalma miktarları da artmıştır. Maksimum kompostlama ayrışma hızı 61.38°C'de gerçekleşmiştir. Kompostlama işleminin yüksek sıcaklıklarda gerçekleştirilmesi ile birim kütle başına veya birim kuru madde kaybı veya organik madde kaybı veya karbon kaybı kütle başına elektrik enerjisi tüketim değeri azalmıştır. Kompostlama işleminin yüksek sıcaklıklarda kontrol edilmesi ile kompostlama işlemi sonunda daha düşük C/N oranı elde edilmiştir. Düşük C/N oranı daha olgun kompostu ifade etmektedir. Çimlenme indeksi, kontrol sıcaklığının bir fonksiyonu olarak ifade edilmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları maksimum çimlenme indeksinin 54.68° C'de olduğunu göstermiştir. Bitmiş kompostun 〖[NH〗_4^+-N/NO_3^--N], kontrol sıcaklığının bir fonksiyonu olarak ifade edilmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları minimum 〖[NH〗_4^+-N/NO_3^--N] değerinin 60.74°C'de olduğunu göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak, kompostlama kontrol sıcaklığının 54.68°C ile 61.38°C arasında seçilmesi durumunda kompostlama işleminin hızlanacağı ve aynı zamanda daha olgun kompost üretilebileceği söylenebilir. Kompostlama kontrol sıcaklığının 54.68°C ila 61.38°C arasında seçilmesi, enerji tüketimlerinin bu doğrultuda optimizasyonunu sağlamıştır. In this study, the effects of composting of apple processing (pre-screening-separation) solid wastes (EIKA) with dairy manure (SG), poultry manure (TG) and straw at different temperatures were investigated. In the compost mixture were prepared using 44.17% EIKA, 36.42% SG, 10.18% TG and 9.23% straw as dry basis. The composting performance parameters examined were: decomposition rate, composting losses due to decomposition (dry matter loss, organic matter loss and carbon loss), electrical energy consumption and maturation parameters (germination index, final ammonium/nitrate ratio (〖〖 [NH〗_4^+-N/NO_3^--N]〗_f), final carbon/nitrogen ratio ([C/N]f). It has been tried to determine the optimum composting temperature range in the direction of these parameters. In the study, first degree kinetic equation based on compost mass balance was used. During the test, temperature, oxygen and carbon dioxide concentrations, moisture content, organic matter content, pH and electrical conductivity, ammonium and nitrate content, electricity consumption due to aeration were measured. At the end of the experiment germination index was measured in compost samples. In the composting process, temperature feedback control was applied for temperature control. The study results showed that when the temperature control process was performed at lower temperatures, the control process become more difficult and ventilation become more difficult. When the composting process was controlled at higher temperatures, the amount of organic matter reduction was also increased. The maximum decomposition rate was achieved at 61.38°C. The composting process was carried out at high temperatures to reduce the consumption of electric energy per unit mass or unit dry matter loss or organic matter loss or carbon loss per unit mass. When the composting process was controlled at high temperatures, a lower [C/N]f was achieved at the end of the composting process. Low [C/N]f meant more mature compost. The germination index was expressed as a function of the control temperature. The results of the study showed that the maximum germination index was achieved at 54.68°C. The finished compost of 〖〖 [NH〗_4^+-N/NO_3^--N]〗_f) was expressed as a function of the control temperature. The results of the study showed that the minimum〖〖 [NH〗_4^+-N/NO_3^--N]〗_f) value was attained at temperature of 60.74°C. As a result, it can be said that if the composting control temperature is selected between 54.68°C and 61.38°C, the composting process will be accelerated and at the same time more mature compost will be produced. Choosing the composting control temperature from 54.68 ° C to 61.38 ° C ensures optimization of energy consumption in this direction.
