Tarih öncesi çağlardan beri çeşitli uygarlıkların yaşadığı birçok kültürel mirası bünyesinde bulunduran ve koruyan Yalvaç, Isparta'nın en büyük ilçesidir. Değerli yazma eserlerin yer aldığı Yalvaç Müzesi 1966 yılında hizmete girmiş olup; tarih öncesi eserlerin, klasik eserlerin, entnoğrafik eserlerin, salon resim galerisinin, açık teşhirin ve iç balkon yazma eserlerin bulunduğu bölümlerden oluşur. Geleneksel Türk süsleme sanatlarında önemli bir yer tutan ve hat sanatından ayrı düşünülmeyen "tezhip" altın ve çeşitli renklerle din, edebiyat ve bilimle ilgili el yazmalarını, hat (yazı), levha ve albümlerini, ferman, tuğra ve cilt kapaklarını süsleme sanatıdır. Bu çalışmada 27 tezhipli el yazması eserden 5 Kur'an-ı Kerim, 1 el yazması kitap, 1 cilt, 3 tuğralı levha, 7 levha, 8 hilye-i şerif, 2 murakka albümü ele alınarak tezhip açısından (desen, motif, renk, kompozisyon, teknik, üslup) incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu eserlerden 19'u Türk İslam Eserleri Müzesinden, 6'sı Topkapı Sarayı Müzesinden 1966 yılında satın alınarak 2'si Yalvaç Kızılca mahallesinde yaşamış Mehmet Nevruz'dan 1971 ve 1976 yıllarında satın alınarak müzeye getirilmiştir. Neo klasik, rokoko ve klasik üslupta tezhipli olan bu eserlerin 18'i tarihli olup; 2 tanesi XVIII. yüzyıla, 15 tanesi XIX. yüzyıla aittir. Tarihsiz olan iki eserin XVI. yüzyıla, diğer 7 eserin ise XIX. yüzyıla ait olduğu düşünülmektedir. Öncelikle tezyinatları incelenen eserlerin yazılarının okunmasında detaya girilmemiştir. Eserlerin incelenmesi esnasında tezhip tarihine ve müzehhip ismine rastlanılmamıştır. Bir kısmı sergilenen, bir kısmı ise müzenin deposunda korunan ve çoğu deseni kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş bu eserler fotoğraflarla belgelenip, desenleri çizilmiştir. Günümüzde müzelerde koruma altına alınan bu eserler yeni yetişen tezhip sanatçılarına yol gösterecek, bu sanatın sürekliliği ve gelişmesinde yardımcı olacak, ayrıca bu eserler, konservasyon ve restorasyon konusundaki gerekliği ve bu alandaki ihtiyacı ortaya koyacaktır. Yalvaç is the town where the various civilizations lived and left their cultural heritage which had been kept till today. Yalvaç is also biggest town of Isparta. Yalvaç museum, where the invaluable manuscripts kept and exhibited, was put into service in 1966. Illumination is indiscernible part of traditional Turkish decoration, which is inlaying with gold of books and use of the other colours for decorating, handwriting of religion, literature and scientific work and also for decorating tablets, ferman (decre of the Sultan) and book covers. In this research 27 illuminated work which are main subject of this thesis includes 5 pcs Holy Koran, 1 pc of handwriting book, 1 pc binding, 3 pcs of ornamental tugra tablets, 7 pcs of tablets, 8 pcs hilye-i şerif and 2 pcs murakka (cardboard) albums have been examined such as their ornament, motives, colours, compositions, technically and the manner of writing decorations. 19 of these manuscripts have been taken from the museum of Turkish Islamic work , 6 of them have been taken from the museum of Topkapı palace in 1966 by purchasing, 2 of them have been purchased from Mehmet Nevruz who lived in Yalvaç, Kızılca quarter, in 1971-1976 respectively and they have been brought the museum. From these works which illuminated in neo-classic, rococo and classic manner, 18 of them have a date, 2 of them have belong in XVIII th century, 15 of them in XIX th century, one of them in XX th century. It has been considered that 2 works which have no date have belong to XVI th century, and the other 7 works have belong to XIX th century. First of all their decorations studied and then detailed examination has not been done about reading caligraphy. It has not been found the date of illumination and the name of illuminator during examination of these works. Some of these works have been shown in the museum and some of them have been kept into museum warehouse, also some of these works have already been begun to loose their ornament. So they have been photographed and drawn their picture. Nowadays all these works which under protection of museums and libraries will guide to new age illumination artist, and help to development and continuity of these arts, and also they will explain their necessity and requirement about these works conservation and restoration.
