Bu çalışmanın amacı; modern maliyetleme yöntemlerinden birisi olan stratejik maliyet yönetiminin hizmet işletmelerinde uygulanabilirliğini araştırmaktır. Günümüzde artık hizmet işletmeleri de yoğun rekabet ortamında bulunmaktadırlar. Hizmet işletmesi olarak hastane işletmeleri seçilmiş ve uygulama bu işletmeler üzerinde yapılmıştır. Geleneksel maliyet yöntemlerinden modern maliyet yöntemlerine geçilmiştir. Bu geçiş mamul üretimi yapan işletmelerin öncülüğünde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Modern maliyetleme yöntemlerinden birisi olan stratejik maliyetleme yöntemi de mamul üretimi yapan işletmeler tarafından kullanılmaktadır. Buna karşılık hizmet sektöründe yer alan işletmelerin durumunu araştırmak için bu sektörde yer alan özel hastane işletmeleri seçilmiştir ve uygulama yapılmıştır. Çalışma Batı Akdeniz bölgesinde yer alan Isparta, Antalya ve Burdur illerinde yer alan özel hastaneler üzerinde yapılmıştır. Bu bölgede ki hastanelerin stratejik maliyet yönteminin uygulanabilirliği tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. The aim of this study is to search the practicability of strategic cost management that is one of the modern cost methods on service enterprises. Today service enterprises are in an intensive competitive condition. Hospital services are chosen as a service enterprises and the application is applied on this enterprises. It is passed from conventional cost methods to modern cost methods. This progression is implemented by enterprises that are produce product. Cost management method which is one of the modern cost methods are used by enterprises that is produce product too. On the contrary, it is chosen private hospital enterprises which are in this sector to research the position of the enterprises that are in service sector and application has been applied. Study has been performed on private hospitals in Isparta, Burdur and Antalya that are located in West Mediterranean Region. It is identified strategic cost method's practicability of hospitals in this region. Questionnaire method is used in this study.
