Sağlık, insan hayatının en temel ve değerli yapı taşlarından biridir. Bu derece önemli bir öğenin korunması ve bozulduğunda iyileştirilmesi gerekliliği hastanelerin önemini artırmaktadır. Çünkü insanların sağlıklı olması yaşamdan aldıkları mutluluğu arttırdığı gibi iş verimlerini ve ülke ekonomisine katkılarını da artırır. Sağlığa verilen önem arttıkça daha kaliteli hizmetlere ulaşma isteği de artış göstermiş, devletin bu konu ile ilgili hizmet sunumundaki eksikliklerinin özel sektör tarafından karşılanması bir politik tercih olarak belirlenmiştir. Günümüzde neredeyse her gün yeni bir özel sağlık kuruluşu hizmete girmektedir. Bu durum bir yandan insanlara gitmek istedikleri hastaneyi seçebilme özgürlüğü verirken, diğer yandan insanlığa hizmet etmek amacıyla kurulmuş olsalar bile varoluş sebepleri kar elde etmek olan özel hastanelerin kapanma riskiyle karşı karşıya kalmalarına neden olmaktadır. Kaliteli bir hizmet vererek sektörde bir marka yaratmaya çalışan özel hastaneler birçok sıkıntı yaşamaktadır. Bunlar arasında; kuruluş aşamasında, hastane binası ve yerinin seçiminde, personel temininde, yönetimde, pazarlama kısıtlarında, teknolojik gelişmelere uyum sağlamada, finansmanda, mevzuat ile ilgili uygulamalarda, ekonomik krizler sonucunda ve mevsimsel etkilenmelerle yaşanabilecek sorunlar yer almaktadır. Özel hastane sorunlarının çözülebilmesi için ilk önce devlet ve özel sağlık sektörünün el ele vermesi gerekmektedir. Mevcut yasal düzenlemenin yenilenmesi, bürokratik işlemlerde akıcılığın sağlanması, nitelikli personel yetiştirilmesi, pazarlama kısıtlarının kaldırılması, hastane denetimlerinin etkin bir şekilde yapılması sayılabilecek çözüm önerilerindendir. Health is one of the most valuable and fundamental element in the human life. The necessity to fix when deteriorated and to preserve such an important element, increases the importance of the hospitals. Because, it is certain that, healthy beings both enhance their hapiness in life and improve their working efficiency as well as their positive contribution to the economical values of the country. As the importance dedicated to health affairs increased, therewithal, the desire to receive more quality health services has also gained value and it has been defined as a political choice that the insufficient health services obtained by the government has been fulfilled by the private sectors. Nowadays, almost every day, a new private sector owned health institute is included in the sector. This, while on one hand, is providing a freedom for the people to choose the hospital they want and on the other hand puts the private hospitals into a risk of going bankrupt while their main concern is to obtain financial benefits even if they declared to be on service for the sake of humanity. The private hospitals which provide quality services and try to establish a brand in the sector, experience lots of difficulties which include; deciding the place and the building structure of the hospital in the initial establishment period and later employment, administrative issues and marketing hedges, failure in technology adaptation, financial situation, legislations, regulations and the results which may follow after the economical crisis and seasonal responses. In order to solve the problems of the private hospitals, first of all, government institutions and private health sector need to work together. Some suggestions can be mentioned as; the renewal of the existing legal regulations, speeding up the bureaucratic procedures, educating qualified personnel, remowing the marketing hedges and checking the hospitals efficiently.
